"Katar is correct," Anau said, "If an agreement is made here, today, we will be the only ones who know about it. We need to contact our leaders, they need to hear about this."

Humility takes a drag from his pipe, his eyes bloodshot, and mutters, "It's good to know that someone has respect. Even if that person is a heretic."
He looks at the Second Hierarch.

Obedience narrowed his eyes, considering everything quickly. Better to take a few seconds now, and think it over, than to rush into something unexpected. He couldn't think of any trouble these sangheili could cause that couldn't be solved by a crossfire of Hunter Fuel Rod Cannons, so... why not?
The youngest Hierarch drifted his Gravity Throne backwards, a little bit away from the table. He spoke, an expression of perfect piety on his face, "Of course, then. The highest-ranking Sangheili and human, please follow me. He then gestured to Humility, knowing him to be the only danger to diplomacy he could remove from the dinner at the moment on the pretense of being polite to the guests.
The High Prophet of Obedience also added, "We will be back shortly. The meal should come while we are contacting your leaders.... Play nice, everybody."

"So that would be the Shipmaster," Jack said in reference to the highest ranking Elite, "...What about us?" he asked, looking to Darman, then glancing over at Otto, "Him?"

Darman nodded. "Probably the closest thing we have," he muttered. "Doesn't really seem like we have much of a choice, though." He glanced around. They were squad leaders, soldiers... none of them really seemed qualified to make a decision like this, himself included. How he longed for the simplicity of the frontlines, where any problem could be solved, considering you brought enough ordinance.

Zaku nodded. He had assumed that Katar would be sent, given the fact that the Councilor was actually both higher ranking and more politically involved... so he spoke up. "I believe," he growled politely, "that Councilor 'Yamos should be the one to communicate with the Sangheili leaders. After all, if a Ship Master calls in without the Councilor who was with him... the worst may be assumed." He pointed this out as civilly as possible, not wanting to offend either the humans or the Covenant.
Obedience floated to the gravity lift, waiting for the two guests to come over.

Katar simply nodded and went with the guards. *** " Me...well I guess I have to I am the highest ranked here...just hope command does not get pissed" said Otto getting up and joining Katar and the guards. He tried opening a comn channel to command.

Supreme Commander Jennifer McKay sat behind her console, studying various emails from ONI while typing a reply to a man by the name of Stefan Jacobs. She had been recently promoted to the new position of 'Supreme Commander' and had already gotten to work. Very recently promoted. Eden and what was left of the Human fleet now hid itself behind the cover of an asteroid field, under the watchful eye of a small amount of Sangheilian ships. After Sanderson's attempt to activate the Halo ring (with the Elites homeworld within the blast zone) the Sangheili had been a little... cautious, to say the least, of the Human commanders.
As a young console operator approached Jennifer, she quickly finished her email to Stefan:
'Make more. Sincerely, McKay.
She deactivated the screen and looked up at the man expectingly. "Ma'am, we're being hailed by an alien class flagship," "The Elites?" Jennifer asked, "I'm done talking to them, tell them I'm not here," "No ma'am, it's a UNSC signal being boosted by the ships transmitter," "Indeed? Have you identified the UNSC signal?" "Yes sir, it's Otto Strauß, commander of a Prowler during the Battle of Installation X,"
Jennifer immediately stood and began moving to the front of the bridge, "Put him through," "Yes Commander, but about the alien flagship? What if it's Rifter class?" "Jammers are active, plus the asteroid fields interference... none the less, we'll make this brief,"
She sat in her command chair and leaned forward and spoke into the microphone, "This is Supreme Commander Jennifer McKay, is this Commander Strauß?"
She quickly covered the mic and looked to a console operator scanning the connection to the alien ship, "Cut the line on my mark, otherwise if you read anything suspicious, do it."

" Yes ma'am it is...boy your not going to believe this...I guess I will start with what I am doing on this Covenant ship...me and some survivors from Halo...the...genius you replaced plan were rescued from another incident that will have to be explained later. To get to the point a group of Prophet and "Loyalist" leaders gathered us for dinner and want peace...to help us with the Rifters I believe we just stop our raids on them...orders ma'am" said Otto into the comn. He sighed command was going to be pissed at him for what happened to the Bavaria...escape no...they would reach his family first...no matter they had to survive this then he would figure out if he shouldgrab his family and seek refugee in some rebel asteroid or moon of a glassed world base or face the music, get demoted or possibly killed for what happened.

"Remnants want peace?" Jennifer questioned, going silent, "To help counter the Rifter threat?" She questioned again. She leaned back and rubbed her chin in thought; everyone had their back against the wall, even their old enemies it would seem. But would allying with the Remnants put the Humans back into a corner? She leaned forward, "I can't make this decision alone, I'll have to know what the Elites think of this."

"Alright I will contact you when I get an answer to that luckily we have a Councilor here...but I know he is holding back his real decision of no...only putting the ruse of mulling it over until he gets word on the Councils vote...ma'am if there is any treachery in this deal I think the elites will eagerly take care of it " said Otto cutting the line to Supreme Commander Stark....no this was McKay..yes he recognized that voice now. (occ going to say that bitch but decided not to she could be a nice lady but something about her already rings bitch about her )

(OoC: xD)
"...Commander Strauß?" Jennifer shifted her eyes as the comm. went silent, "Operator, what happened?" "He uhh... he cut the line, ma'am," She sat back into her chair and frowned, "Well, that was rude."

Obedience watched, his eyes narrowed. If it had been himself on the other line, he would have ordered his subordinate's immediate execution. It seemed like the humans were far more tolerant... and at that second, a thought of heresy slid into his mind. What if... they really tried to tolerate each other? Tolerance obviously intended to betray these humans. But... how could he? The humans would not, given reversed circumstances. The Sangheili certainly would not. So... where did that put the Covenant? Was Tolerance really so low and cheap that he would seriously consider betraying them down the line.
As Otto turned around to face the Second Hierarch, Obedience's face was strangely honest. He was gazing upon an independent, intelligent, competent being. He had just experienced an epiphany... Tolerance couldn't be right. These humans couldn't have been left behind on the Great Journey. That only left... ah. Safeguards and unwitting guides. Typically Forerunner. The High Prophet waited for a moment, and inclined his head to the Commander. Something he had never even done for the First Hierarch... or anyone before. The emerald-eyed Prophet turned his head to look to Katar. Obedience spoke, "Are you ready, Councilor? I would advise using the holopanel over here. Anything less would likely offend the Councilors..."

" Yes I am ready " said Katar. He activated the Holopanel and the Sangheili Council appeared. " I presume this meeting can begin " asked Katar wanting to get this over with infacting wanting to get away from these "Loyalists" a soon as possible

Jennifer too appeared in the holodisplay. She was backed by two Spartans clad in black Mark IV armour. Just for appearance purposes. "I want to see one of these Prophets."
