"Anau'! I don't believe it also... I didn't think we'd end up on the same mission!" Verllan'a said. "Heh, you two always end up on the same mission." Rane' smiled.

"It's good to see you again," Anau smiled. "Now, let's head for that beacon," he said, stepping out of his seat and walking over to the cockpit. "Do you have the signal?" "Signal is locked, sir," the pilot replied. "Good, keep us low and get us there as quickly as possible," Anau said, returning to his seat beside Zarra.
The phantom jolted as it began to maneuver out of the hanger, hovering over debris. When it was finally clear, it slowly exited the cruiser and headed towards the beacon.

"We're moving? Good," said Zarra. She then turned back to the conversation, "Well, you two seem to be good friends. You say you've been on alot of missions together?" A sudden thought made her a little wary of Anau's friendship with the other female, but she quickly pushed the thought away, feeling ashamed.

Russell walked into the field of fire and dodged multiple darts with precision. By complete chance, one whizzes by his head-and he pulls it off a tree. Another one is weakly fired and the SPARTAN easily catches it. He gets to the ODST when another one breaks into his visor, but no further. He pulls it out and throws it at the enemy who just threw it at him. He then picks up the ODST and slowly carries him out of the battlefield. Eyeing a potential threat, he throws the dart and is spot on in his throwing. He temporarily gags as the enemy is killed. He then moves behind the bush and tells two Marines to take the ODST to a Hog and get him out of here at full speed.

The battle was raging, however the backup received by the extra United Nations Space Commands to have joined the fray soon meant that the United Nations Space Command, despite it's lack of numbers compared to the tribesmen, soon began to gain the upper hand. Matt's rifle ran out of ammunition and, with a lack of clips to restore it to it's proper reloaded self, Matt hurled it at the head of a tribesman, the tribesman falling, stunned, a dart from one of his own men striking him mistakenly as he fell. Drawing his duel Spikers and placing one foot stiffly against the base of a tree, he pushed, hard, angling towards another tree, firing as he crossed the ground between into the mass of tribespeople. Reaching the tree without much damage, Matt leant around and fired, another man wheeling around in agony as the white hot needles pierced his skin.
The various small tents that had been there for the comfort of the tribespeople were now shredded, their hide outsides lying in tatters upon the floor, the campfire now having gone out in the fray. Matt's comlink bleeped, reminding him again of the annoyance of not having Setara at hand. Pressing it against his ear, to hear it properly, Matt dodged another dart, using his free Spiker to drive off his attacker, who wasn't quite dead. It seemed, then, that Russell was trying to beat off an attack with the Orbital Drop Shock Trooper carried. It was up to Matt, his group and the other groups to keep the area clear until they could beat out a retreat. Firing another round, Matt worked his mind to consider how they could make their way out from this and get the Orbital Drop Shock Trooper back to the camp in one piece.
Drastic times called for drastic action. Matt leapt across the clearing, the sheer audacity of his actions surprising the tribesman and allowing him to bundle over one before they fired at him. By this time, however, he'd rolled behind a tree. Holding the dead corpse of the tribesman before him, he pushed it out the opposite direction of where he wanted to head with a sharp shove. The body, wheeling forwards, looked as if it were running itself. The tribespeople, mistaking it for Matt, opened fire, allowing him to take out another three before making his way over to cover Russell. "Move!" Matt roared, stepping backwards and firing before dropping to one knee and moving behind a tree. "Hey, angel!" Matt laughed, to Charlie, over the bedlam, casually dispatching two tribes-people aiming their weapons at Russell. "It's probably time we gathered the others and shifted ourselves back to the main convoy."

The Marines did quickly what they were told and Russell leapt into action. Sneaking up behind one of the tribesmen, he quickly hit him in the back multiple times with his AR for a silent kill before sneaking out. He then traded for a BR and began sniping some tribespeople.

Charlie had finally reloaded her rifle and had sat down besides Johnny's body. "Roger that," she replied. "I need four marines to my position, ASAP," she said again over the radio. She wrapped her battle rifle over her shoulder and began tugging at Johnny. A marine then showed up and helped Johnny's body onto Charlies shoulders. Three more then appeared, two marines took up the other ODST bodies while the other two would cover while they ran back to the convoy.

(OoC: I know. It just seemed like something my character would start worrying about. I had to make her a little jealous at least once. XD )

Russell quickly beat back a retreat. Running up to Matt, he asked, "So, should we stay here and kill them or retreat and leave them alone?"

((OoC: Well, I guess that makes the story more interesting )) "It looks like we're almost there." Rane' said, pushing away the conversation. The Phantom flew a few times around some kind of metal object. "Wait, thats it. The beacon is in sight!" The pilot replied. "Good, get ready everyone." Verllan'a said. "Lock and Load!" ((Ooc: I hope thats not too marine-ish. XD))

(OoC: Lol, it's all good. One thing though, you can't really take control of major events, for example, spotting and arriving at the beacon, but, luckily this works out ok ) Anau had been opening and closing the flaps of his plasma rifle for a few minutes, when finally the pilots alerted everyone the beacon had been reached. The Phantom hovered above the desert plains, disturbing dirt that probably hadn't moved for years. The grav lift opened and Anau leaped out, landing on the hot surface, surrounded by a storm of sand. When everyone had finally exited, the Phantom disabled the grav lift and flew towards a safe area where it would remain. (OoC: Sorry to rush that a little) When the sand had settled, there was nothing but silence, not a sound. But there infront of them stood the old, rusted metal device. Anau walked towards it, his heavy boots making a loud crunch in the sand. "This was giving off the signal?" he asked. "It looks like it hasn't worked for years," (OoC: Don't worry, I have a plan, so just chill around this thing for now)

Zarra approached the beacon as well. "There must be a control panel or something," she said examining it. She circled around it, then knocked on the metal with her fist and looked at it sideways, with a curious expression on her face. "Does anyone here know how to use this device?" she wondered, turning back to the rest of the group.

Katar stood around the beacon. "this is older then you Katar" said Inwa who laughed. "I highly doubt that Inwa..I have seen something like this before when I went to military school but well I didn't pay attention to that lesson" said Katar. Katar paused for a moment and kicked the machine. "damn that was suppose to work" said Katar. "well that was all I got" said Katar who rubbed his recently stubbed toe. "well hopefully we all are more advanced then that Mr. Dinosaur" said Inwa with a chuckle. "your probally the secound oldest person here Mrs. Dinosaur" said Katar back.

((Ooc: Sorry, Locky...))
"Heh, very funny Katar. Anyway... I have not seen anything like this... It's quite an interesting piece of metal." Verllan'a whispered, gazing at the object. Suddenly, a flash of light comes from the Radar in Rane's hand. "Wait a second. There is something flashing here. It appears this device is giving off a signal," Rane explained. "Unusual... its on my radar too." Verllan'a replied.
((But I can't just make my characters talk and do nothing!))
