While Russel left to gather his men, Charlie loaded her rifle and got into position. She waited silently by the right flank.
***
It was a plan. Anau nodded and made a quick detour over by a weapons canister. He took up a carbine and continued to the Phantom. He passed Zarra and stepped into the grav lift.

Zarra looked around the hangar one more time then followed. "So, how shall we find it?" she asked, wanting to help, "It must be giving off some sort of signal, but do we have the equipment to pick it up? Whoever shot us down apparently wasn't able to detect it, and I suppose it would be hard to find if we were using it to spy on the humans... Sorry, I'm just being a distraction." Embarrassed, she went to go sit down.

(OoC: Everyone, it's RUSSELL. TWO Ls. Thank you for letting me get this overwith.)
A few seconds later Russell returned with his men. He whispered, "Alright Charlie, we're going in inside stealth. I can keep watch, and if I give you the thumbs down, order the men to charge in. If you need to communicate, then speak in whispers or using sign language, because I can hear extra loud and was trained in sign language. Got it? Good. Alright men, let's get going."
With one gesture, Russell ordered his team of 5-6 soldiers to move out, Russell not counting.

(Ooc Is there any way Barbarossa (my mercenary Spartan II/III (Spartan II with the aggresivness of a Spartan III and SPI armor) charcter..but is still loyal to the UNSC but merely doesn't affilate with Elites so we dropped out of the Marines at the rank of Sergeant Grade 2 which was the rank he was out when he heard of the allience with the UNSC..if we did follow the rebels into the system which I think we did he could of jetted out in a nice small private ship with cryo as well he could of been working for the URA as well sometimes even the bad guys pay better then the good guys. (so he could merely stay in cryo till his beacon was picked up by friendly's or he was captured some race of aliens) and well he could of been taken prisoner along with our ODST friend and well once he get them out along with any other prisoners...you never know as well Specs Frigate is still on the surface..remember so they could of came from there..however we are unable to communicate with it because I am guessing long range transmissions don't work)
Katar too exited the Phantom and armed himself with two plasma rifles as he was only armed with a sword. He grabbed two more rifles for Inwa as well he did not know how fresh the battery on her rifles were due to the fact she almost never switched until the battery was out or almost dead and she had acess to a charger..(Ooc why do we never see a plasma battery charger or well a Spartan lazer charger...sorry just thought I would bring that up) *** Specs and his team advanced to the far side of the camp. He pointed for a Marine to climb the trees so they could observe and see when the guard patrols switched and take advantage of that moment of weakness. "stay there contact of over the comn link but whsiper..everyone else put your comns on whisper" whispered Specs as he continued moving forward.

(OoC: I think it's a little late to be adding in yet another Spartan, how about you make his character profile and introduce him after this campaign. Also, the Phantom hasn't left the hanger yet and you said Katar exited it, which he never entered)
"A thumbs down?" Charlie whispered. "That's different," she then turned on an open comn. "We're in position, give the word,"
***
Anau smiled and followed Zarra to a seat. "The signal the beacon is giving off is old technology, perhaps too old for the new threat to pick up. However, it's not old enough for us to miss, I'm sure the Phantom will just follow it,"
A few other soldiers had boarded the Phantom, followed by the pilots.

(OoC: Actually, I think Katar and Inwa did get onboard. It was a good while back though.)
Zarra nodded, "I think I'm just a little nervous. I'm glad I was able to help, but if something goes wrong, I'll feel like it will be at least partly my fault."

(Ooc Ok then I will save Barbarossa for later and well I guess I will simply not make him Specs son then so I can use him or I may not and I think I put Katar in the Phantom but if not I will simply have him enter the Phantom for the first time..and yes I already made a profile for Barbarossa a while back or well Barbarossa could be a title that this underground Spartan project gives to the top graduate I'll think of something)
"alright it there if about a 2 minute gap from when the guards leave the prison and the time the new guards arrive..however I would say you only have a few secounds to get in there and get the prisoner out" said the marine in the tree. "I pray to god your right" said Specs. "follow me wait until we get behind the prison and wait there and stay hidden" said Specs. "couldn't we dig a tunnel" whispered a Marine. "no that would take to long" said Specs. "alright good I think we found a "back door" said Specs as he opened a door a crack. "alright go the guards are distracted" said Specs as he opened the door enough to let him slide through..even in his armor. The Marines followed. A Marine pointed to a guard and put his finger across his neck. Specs shock his head no. They continued tip toeing forward till they were behind a building. A Marine let out a sigh of relief. "were not out of the woods yet..this isn't even the hard part" whispered Specs.

Russell signaled for one of the Marines to climb a tree. Before that, he saw the marine switch for a Battle Rifle from another Marine. He then signaled Charlie and another marine to hide behind a bush in the encampment. He knew what was going to happen. They were a native tribe, he figured, and there was a very good chance that Matt would end up screwing up. He had chosen the bush because he thought it was very close to the ODST and that he could escort him or her out safely. But, even though he knew that Matt had a very good chance of screwing up, in his mind he wished him luck. He actually hoped that the end of this would be peaceful and the UNSC would have made contact, for the first recorded time, with a sentient, non-hostile alien species. This should be good. He also knew Specs was trying to make a prison break, and if the guards found out, his first priority was the ODST and his second was helping Specs out of trouble. As much as he needed to value SPARTAN-IIs, he knew that rescue of the ODST was top priority. And so he waited patiently...

(Ooc: Sorry I took so long, this is my first roleplay post, and I'll make a profile for Rane')
"Wait Zarra! Wait for me!" Verllan'a yelled to the nearby ship. She jumped onboard the phantom and took a seat next to Rane'. "Sorry, I was looking for the weapon canister, I think someone moved it." She gave a smile to Rane', she knew he always had to take the Beam Rifle. "So, are we all set? Have we found its location?"

((OOC: It's fine, Shadow. )) "Mira's missing?" Matt swore, violently. Mira was a decent Orbital Drop Shock Trooper and a nice woman; losing her would be a considered failure to Matt. Yet he couldn't just abandon the others, nor could he abandon the Orbital Drop Shock Trooper in danger. There was nothing for it; Mira was a capable girl. He'd just have to wait until she pulled herself up out of danger and rejoined them. For now, his primary concern was in rescuing this Orbital Drop Shock Trooper and keeping those nearby safe. He only hoped Mira hadn't got into trouble. He didn't want to put anyone else in danger, nor did he want anyone in the United Nations Space Command in danger. Now, he thought, mentally readying himself. Show time.Stepping forwards, he allowed the others in his group time to catch up, whilst allowing Russell and the other groups to make their way forwards. For now, Matt would try negotiating peacefully. Yet was what he was doing backstabbing? He'd told Charlie's group to grab the Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, were he alive, whilst he kept them busy with his talks of peace. They'd probably react badly to that. Motioning for three Orbital Drop Shock Troopers to move up alongside him, the others taking covering positions by the trees, Matt moved into the firelight. He caught a glimpse of a small, rustic camp, obviously not the main city. Just a scouting party. A fire occupied the space in the middle, and smoke curled up lazily. Matt didn't even have time to negotiate. Four darts whistled past his face with alarming speed, thudding into the trees behind with short, sharp thok sounds. Matt leant back to avoid the next one, an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper leaping round from the tree, bringing his rifle up to bear and then falling with a grunt as his armour was pierced by five darts, almost simultaneously. They're probably poisoned, thought Matt, gritting his teeth. And, unlike the others, these ones can pierce armour. Not a good thought. Leaning round the tree, Matt drew his assault rifle and fired at the head of one of the tribespeople, the tribespeople having fanned out into the surrounding foliage, or behind obstacles in their camp. There was a sharp double rap from Matt's rifle, and the alien fell, his head bursting like a melon. There was no sense of surprise, now, for his group to capitalise on, nor was there any chance of negotiation. Yet the aliens didn't know the other groups were around. Reaching to his rist he opened up a communications channel with Charlie and the other groups, wasting precious time as he did so. Not for the first time did he wish he had Setara with him to do these things for him. "Keep it silent; keep the surprise and attack as best you can." Matt shouted, his voice inaudible to all but those on the other end of the line as he issued commands. Matt's group was fighting well, yet there just weren't enough of them. Three Orbital Drop Shock Troopers nearby quickly dropped a knot of tribespeople, Matt dropping another two taking aim at the Troopers. Now was the time for the others to intervene too. Then these tribespeople would discover just how strong the United Nations Space Command really] was.

"I don't know; I think they're still working on it," said Zarra. "You're... Verllan'a. I'm sorry, I haven't seen you for months and I'm afraid I'm terrible with names," Zarra laughed, feeling embarrassed again, "Well I'm glad to see you."

Russell was imbued by an otherworldly rage. The ODST would probably die of poison, if not dead already by the impact. He silently snapped the neck of one and blasted the other with his Shotgun. He then yelled out in an extremly loud voice, "COME ON! OPEN FIRE, IF WE DON'T GET THESE GUYS OUT NOW THERE'S NO CHANCE OF THE ODST SURVIVING!" Turning calmer, he ran back to Charlie. He told Charlie, "Cover me, I'm gonna get the ODST." A poison dart whizzed by his face and hit a Marine between the eyes. Russell mentally swore. He then moved in, ready to grab the ODST and pull him out.

"damn it" muttered Specs as he heard Russel yell. "the fool is going to get himself and the people he is with killed" thought Specs. "apparently he has the ODST but still let us move to the prison as well a full on charge like that is probally going to get him shot" said Specs. Specs made a mental note to grab a dart from one of the aliens so the poison on it may be identified and an antidote be produced. "alright lets grab the ODST" said Specs as he darted to his next cover..behind the prison. He paused and wondered if he should simply blow a hole in the wall. "alright I want you all to get out of here so you won't get killed I am going to blow a hole through the wall a small one but I will be able to make it" said Specs. He knocked on the wall to let the prisoner(s) know he was their. He pulled out a weak explosive and placed it on the wall. "lets hope this works" said Specs. "now get out of here" said Specs. His Marines/ODSTs quickly ran out of the base and into the forest and climbed trees to provide covering fire for Matt.

"Covering fire!" Charlie cried, lifting her rifle up and unleashing several bursts. An ODST kneeled down beside her and fired his assault rifle. Another ODST stood behind her and fired in bursts. "Go cover the Spartan, we'll cover you!" Charlie ordered, yelling over the gun fire. The ODST tapped Charlie on the shoulder and ran out after Russell. Charlie and the other ODST moved up slowly as the advancing ODST did, kneeling between two huts. The ODST, standing a few feet in front of them was looking around the corner of the hut, awaiting an opportunity. A tribesman suddenly fired a dart at the ODST beside Charlie from above, the dart striking him in the shoulder. He cried in pain and fell onto Charlie. Startled, Charlie aimed at the roof of the hut and fired aimlessly. The tribesman leaped off the roof and onto the ODST about to run after Russell, forcing him to the ground. The tribesman crawled all over the ODST, ripping off his helmet and other armour pieces. He began growling and clawing at his exposed skin.
Johnny came to Charlies rescue, lifting the paralysed ODST of her and then killing the tribesman. They then grabbed both ODST's and dragged them to safety. "You alright?" Johnny asked her, tending to the beaten ODST. "I'm fine," Charlie replied. "We need a medic over here!" Johnny yelled over the radio. "I have to cover the Spartan, can you stay here and cover these two?" Charlie asked, taking the empty clip out of her rifle. "Better here than there, go get'em," Johnny said, taking off his helmet. Charlie nodded and reached for a new clip, when she heard the growl of an approaching tribesman. She quickly spun around to meet it, she saw it running at her between the two huts with a spear. She lifted her rifle squeezed the trigger. No shot was fired. Time suddenly slowed, the abomination was just feet away, running and screaming at her with a spear. "Get down!" Johnny yelled, as a shot was fired, whistling by Charlies helmet and striking the tribesman in the arm. The tribesman seemed unfased by the bullet and continued to run at Charlie, without hesitation, she dropped to the ground, looking up as it leaped over her and ran at Johnny. Time almost came to a standstill when the tribesman lunged the spear into Johnny's chest, his cry echoing through Charlies head. Charlie looked on in horror as Johnny fell to his knees, dropping the pistol. The tribesman roared as he forced the spear deeper. Johnny took his last breath and fell onto the paralysed ODST.
Time returned to normal and Charlie was left panting in the bushes. The tribesman took the spear out of Johnny's chest and turned, glaring at Charlie. While looking at it, Charlie began feeling for her spare Battle Rifle clip. The tribesman lifted the spear above his head and ran at Charlie. She gave up her search for the clip and took out her combat knife, she tossed aside her rifle and waited. The tribesman leaped and plunged the spear towards Charlie, she quickly rolled out of its path and staggered to her feet, the tribesman sticking the spear deep into the ground. As he struggled to pull the spear free, Charlie wasted no time, slitting it's throat, not enough to kill it straight away, just enough to make it suffer. It began wandering around, gargling as it's blood rushed free. Enraged, she kicked it to the ground with a grunt. She stood over it and watched it squirm.
*** (OoC: I've got a few things sorted for the Elites once they reach the beacan, it's nothing excitting, but it'll do till the Rifters show up)
"I don't believe it," Anau said, a little suprised. "I had no idea you were aboard, it's been too long, Verllan'a," he said happily.
