Well, ya see, this is something we were talking about on the C-Box when you all were laying your pretty little heads down to sleep. The plot goes like this: There is a Central Gate World where all the interdimensional gates connect. Each gate is a hovering, blue-black sphere with crystal discs surrounding them like small staircases. (I'm scanning in the pic tonight) Each of these is a two-way energy gate that travels dimensions to various worlds. Sometimes, several gates go to the same dimension- just different planets. For instance, the sci-fi era universe will have at least two or three gates to the hub world. The "Dream World" is a seperate plane in the same universe as the fantasy world, and I'll get into the stuff about those two later. The modern one will probably be modern-day earth. The mineral one Specs wrote down wrong... In the C-Box, we had discussed a world with a type of crystal that breaks modern technology, but grants those who have bonded with a larger crystal, usually carried atop a staff, can alter the laws of physics and smash lots shit. However, if the "magicians" are more than two feet away from their crystal, their powers go poof. The demon world is the dream world, btw. The space world is the empty expanse between universes. Very.... cold. And boring. But nice to hide in, if you have a spacesuit on. The Steampunk and robot worlds are pretty self-explanitory, and the Dune world is one modeled off the seriers Dune. The Hollows/Bleach one is pretty much the Soul Society dimension, I believe. And those are all the worlds. I'll have pictures and more detailed summarier for each one later. =D But yeah. Those are all the worlds in various universes and dimensions. The main plot will probably be about modern-day explorers finding the subterranean gateway under the ocean that people use to go to the Central Hub world and back. Our characters'll explore a few worlds, get a few redshirts killed off, and accidentally let some baddies know of the gate's existence when they go through 'em. For instance, the demoness I will be RPing is going to lead an assault on the hub world. Some Holows and homicidal robots will probably join in....

I'll take control of two factions in two worlds: the Vinci from Rise of Legends in the steampunk world, and Rainbow Six in the modern world. (With some Third Echelon interjections. I know it's the Ryanverse, but they won't be as godly as they are in the novels/games: they'll only gain skills against enemies from combat encounters. A few will also be selected to be the interdimensional diplomacy crew from the modern world. I'll put up an explanation of the Vinci in the OoC section.)

The bottom lines for yes and no are Specs' decisions, but I personally like the Vinci. They're very, very interesting. And I see no problems with Rainbow Six in the modern world, but again, it's Specs who's at the helm here.

This sounds quite interesting, but will probably make my head hurt. I'll sit this one out

I would like to take control of Dune, as I'm probably the most knowledgeable of its cannon here (albeit, that isn't very much)

I'd like a Post-Apocalyptic world, if everyone's ok with that. My character leads the local resistance fighters of Haven City, a small town set up after the world was ravaged by war. Outskirts of Haven City.

Outskirts of Haven City. If that was made in GMOD, kudos to whoever made that. Seriously though, what game is that in?

Okay, here's a suggestion for my factions and everything else that applies to humans. If humans are modified in some way, they gain something.
For example, let's take my factions. Now, a small spoiler: the Cuotl aren't dead, and they're lead by the False Gods (the bad guys), so they're with the Demons and Hollows. Being modified by a faction (excluding ones without that power or ability to) grants access to several special abilities. The only thing: once you've been augged, there's no going back.
For example, if you were augged by the Cuotl, your arm would change to stone with pulsating light blue energy. Doing this would allow you to do several things, i.e. summoning giant light rays from the sky on worlds with suns that immolate everything they touch, or spreading plague. A Vinci aug would turn your arm to clockwork, and I assume for the Alin your arm would turn to glass, like a few miniature Covenant battlecruisers captured your arm in a fierce space war.
Other factions would be able to do this too.
