Blood gushed from a tech. officers chest as two other officers attempted to pull a large piece of shrapnel pinning him to his computer console. "He's dead, leave him!" a marine yelled, running past them holding a bucket of water. He turned a corner and threw the buckets contents onto an electrical fire that had engulfed half the Bridge. The UNSC Frigate 'Michael' had suffered a great deal of damage and heavy casualties, the ship fled the Rifter engagement to the selected site as ordered, as did the other surviving ships. The marine battling the blaze in the bridge of the frigate had no choice but to give up. He helped an officer to his feet and carried him out of the bridge. As he ran down the halls, he passed a view point and gazed out over the planet they were now orbiting. Sanghelios. He continued down into the med bay and dropped the officer outside of it. He returned to the view point and watched as Sangheili ships either rushed to their aid, or to finish them off. *** "By our count there are nine Human vessels in our planets orbit. Three have suffered minimal damage, however the others require our assistance," a special operations commander explained. Anau continually nudged the Elite beside him as the Phantom began maneuvering around debris. "We do not know the status of Earth or what foe caused such damage, we will assume it was the Remnant," the Commander continued. "Why didn't the Humans call for assistance?" Anau asked. The Commander snapped to him and glared. "No Human transmissions were received," he growled, then turning to the Major of the Special Operations squad. (OoC: Indi, this can be Zarra, but I know there's probably some stuff with her mother you havent done yet.) "Your squad will be dropped onto the surface of a Human ship, the Bavaria. Using the tools to cut your way into the ship and assist the Humans. A Tug ship will arrive shortly to pull the wreck into our shipward. The same will happen for the other ships"

Otto sat on the bridge of his crippled ship. His pride and joy basicly worthless it would take a while for him to be able to fly his baby again. He had no idea if the comns worked but he would try anyway. "Status report...is anybody out there" asked Otto as he went over to the communications station and fed what little power he could spare into it. The lights flickered off but once he put the power back where he found it they came on again. His bridge crew and surviving crew was busy salvaging whatever they could whether it be food, weapons, water or even ships. Even if the Elites came to save them he wanted to have the all the survivors stick together and have some comforts of home. He had nothing against the elites but he had no idea what their world held for them and besides he knew that some people still hung to the past that was the war.

Zarra nodded, "Understood." She glanced around, nervous about being put in charge of such a large group so suddenly, but the airtight helmet she had been issued for the mission hid her uneasyness. "I believe my squad is ready." She sat back down when the Commander moved on to adress someone else. "Have you seen Commander Nadum?" she asked a nearby Elite. The Elite shrugged and walked away.

When Zarra responded to the Commander, Anau leaned forward from the line of other Elites and glanced at her. He cursed that he hadn't revealed his demotion to her, now it was possible she would find out, and it wasnt in the best of circumstances. "There is no need to wish you luck Elites, if you ask me this is a waste of time and resources," the Commander huffed, "Prepare for decompression," he finished, entering the cockpit. The Elites gathered around the grav-lift as the Phantom hovered above the Human ship. The grav-lift activated and Anau stepped in with another Elite. It was beautiful. Anau planted his feet on the ship and looked around at the floating debris. Though it was a sight of destruction, and mass loss of life, Anau couldn't help but marvel; Sanghelios, his planets sun and the Human wreckage. He quickly snapped out of it and began slicing his way through the tough Human ships surface. He glanced up at the other Human ships and noticed other teams were cutting through. As Anau continued cutting, he browsed through his objectives. 'Assist the Humans where possible' was the primary objective. 'Establish a connection with Earth' was the secondary.

Zarra watched the Minors work and sighed. The lenses of her helmet fogged up and she shook her head in futile attempt to clear them. She was confused by the change of command and had began to fear that she had been transferred to another unit. There was nothing she could do about it though, at least not here. The mist faded from the lenses slowly. She sighed again, and the fog returned. She growled, startling a Minor who had paused from his work for a moment. She wanted to apologize, but if she didn't act stern at first, the Minors usually didn't listen to her when it mattered.

Anau finally finished cutting his section as a Minor finished his. Three Elites including Anau the pulled back the large piece of metal and sent it floating into space. The section of the ship they had cut into was guaranteed to have no Human survivors. An Elite leaped into the ship followed by Anau and the others. They activated their lights and began floating their way down the empty halls of the Bavaria.
They soon came to an emergency airlock that had activated during an explosion. Anau looked around and noticed the bodies, they had been trapped on this side. An Elite stepped in front of a keypad and began hacking his way into the doors systems. "What do you think caused all of this?" an Elite asked. "It could have been the Remnant," one suggested. "That might explain why the Humans didn't ask for any help, arrogant fools," "Maybe they were unable to call for it," Anau suggested. "How would the Remnant be able to disable every Humans means to communicate?" The airlock door suddenly opened revealing a small chamber, "Got it," said the Elite. The squad crammed inside and the doors shut as air was returned to the chamber and gravity was restored. Another set of doors opened to reveal the carnage. Electrical wires hung from the ceiling, sparking everywhere. The evidence of a fire was clear, and bodies lay in the halls.

Otto cursed as he heard the sound of a piece of his ship break off. Not that this sound was unfamilier to him today but it hurt him as this ship slowly began to die. He removed the AI chip from the ships main frame. He just didn't have enough power to spare to keep his old friend online in the ship. He inserted the ship into his armor. "what happened" asked Rommel his AI modeled off of the famous Rommel of World War II. "We got our assed kicked" said Otto. "this badly....how many our left...tell me everything" said the AI. "about 30 of us our left and they are currently getting everything they can into our few Pelicans and ships" said Otto. "so why are you here" asked Otto. "to ensure The Covenant don't get a hold of you...I already purged our nav data or anything I didn't want them to find" said Otto. "that wasn't nessacary" said Rommel. "relax I did it before we jumped..we don't want the location of every single ONI facility revealed to The Rifters...or The Covenant" said Otto. "true but why did you even have this data in the first place" asked Rommel. "I am ONI's pawn remember...didn't you know every battle I fought in contained something that ONI wanted or needed protected" said Otto to the AI. "ah yes of course" said Rommel.

"I'm going insane," Zarra muttered to herself, she thought she heard Anau's voice again, but that was impossible. 'Focus on the mission,' she told herself, 'all these troops are depending on your guidence.' As soon as it was safe to, Zarra removed her helmet, hoping for a breath of somewhat fresher air, but the hallway was thick with the smell of smoke and ozone from the burning electronics. She replaced her helmet and signaled for the others to follow. She sent a message over a human frequency as they walked through the ghost ship: "This is Special Operations Major 'Yairum. My squad has been sent to rescue any survivors. If you can hear this, please try to contact us."

"The Elites have found us" said Rommel. "I know thank you Captain Obvious" muttered Otto. "listen to your superior officer" said Rommel. "Sorry Field Master Rommel" said Otto sarcasticly. (OOC So you not like but weren't they speaking Englisch Specs..it would confusing if I had them speaking in German all the time but they are so know that you know that you won't be confused by this and yes if Otto is by himself he will speak in German and Rommel only speaks German thats what Otto has his language setting set to). "right well let me just tell the elites we are in the bridge" said the AI who hacked into the elites frequency/ battle net so the elites would have to provide the power. "Wir sind in der Brücke jedoch unsere Crew ist vereinzelte ganzen Schiff" (ooc we are in the bridge however our crew is scattered throughout the ship)" said the AI.

"Ma'am," said one of the Minors, "I received a reply, but it sounds like gibberish." "I understood it," said another, "Try adjusting the settings on your translator." "Greetings," Zarra replied, "How may we assist you?"

"well you could help us get out of here and to find our crew and tell them to finish loading the supplies" said AI. "you should find them in the hanger or at least wait there they will be loading supplies into ships" said the AI in German. "oh and also see if you can get word to command that we need to talk...and that we would prefer our own little area on your planet...no offense just to prevent conflict as some people find it hard to get over things"

"I'll see," Zarra replied, "For now the goal is getting this ship's crew to saftey. We're on our way." She turned to her squad, "It sounds like the humans are on the bridge and the hangars. We'll head to the bridge first. Come." She turned and started down the hall again.

A groaning noise could be heard in the hallway that the elites occupied and suddenly the roof collapsed behind them sending newly created projectiles towards the elites. Along with that the electrical wires in the ceiling were broken and managed to get a nice roaring fire going. The ship would grow more and more unstable the longer amount of times things had to fail from damage.

"Quickly," Zarra added as the Elites in the back staggered away from the burning wreckage. "This whole area is unstable." She jogged a little ahead, glancing back to make shure they were keeping up as the ship continued to groan. They moved on a few yards without trouble, then there was a sharp creaking sound then a few startled crys, as the floor in front of them gave way, sending Zarra and a few of the other Elites in the front sliding and tumbling downward to the darkness of the level below.

Otto growled as he heard the ship groans. "change of plans I will meet you in the hanger do not come to the bridge" said Otto as he grabbed his AI chip and the back up data he had stored. "Everyone get to the hanger ASAP....including you elites we can get you out of here" said Otto as he went through the door. (OOC You can ask Otto to help you up from your little hole or something). He turned his flashlight on and kept his pistols drawn and turned their lights on. He rolled as a sign fell behind him. He looked at the fallen sign that said "Bridge", It was there for the newer members of his crew to ensure everyone knew where everything was. "Rommel turn bridge power off and get the cameras up and link them to my Vizer". "done I will look for any trapped people". The AI chuckled. "it seems the elites are in a bit of trouble". (OOC He had that installed into his helmet )
