(OoC: We could just end this thread here, it's pretty much served it's purpose. My idea was to get these two Elites to hook up, but that's happened in Decisions, so I'm happy. Unless you'd like to continue of course.)

(OoC: I'm ready to move on to the fighting, but I would still like to keep it going. I have a few more ideas for it, and it's at an awkward place to end. )

(OoC: Lol, alrighty)
A humming sound generated by the lift came to a stop once it had arrived at the floor. Anau turned and faced the doors as they opened. Two Counselors entered and another two stepped aside to allow Zarra and Anau to leave. Anau stepped out and nodded a thank you.

Zarra followed Anau out of the lift, then watched as it left with the councilors. "Well," she sighed, "Lead on. I think I've only been in this building once before, and I have no idea where anything is."

"And you think I do?" Anau chuckled, starting to walk in the direction the Councilors had come from. "I have a fair idea where it's located, but I'm sure there will be signs, or something,"

Zarra laughed, "Well, you sounded like you know knew where you were going, and you are higher ranking than I am, I just supposed that you've been here more often. I'll keep an eye out for any signs then."

After wandering the halls for a few minutes, Anau took a chance and opened a door decorated with green lights. As the door opened he was greeted with a gush of fresh air and the sound of rushing water. "Oh," Anau said, surprised.

"See, I knew you could find it," said Zarra giving him a quick hug. She then looked around. "Well, there's no one around to tell us to keep out," she said with a smile, "Shall we go on?"

"Yes," Anau replied excited. He took a step inside and marvelled at the flora; the grass was as soft as a pillow, the trees were tall and full of life and the water flowing from a small waterfall was crystal clear. "I would become a politician just for this," Anau sighed.

Zarra laughed, "I thought the gardens of High Charity were beautiful, but nothing grown on a space station can compare." She paused for a few moments, "I has been about half a year, since they let me become a warrior. We talked in the gardens after I was given my armor. Do you remember that?"

"Of course, we talked about what we planned to do after the war," Anau replied. "I guess those plans still just remain plans," he chuckled. "Hard to think we have known each other in such a short time and yet so much has happened,"

"It seems like it has been much longer," Zarra agreed, "I know you better than friends that I've known for years. Though I've tried to not get that close to anyone. It's so easy to lose friends..." she trailed off, "Nevermind, I don't want to talk about that here. I try avoid getting too attached to anyone, but I really couldn't help it with you," she laughed, "You're too likable."

"I felt the same way on the first Halo, while were were attempting to take the Truth and Reconciliation back," Anau replied. "You were quite honestly, the first female I had met in a combat situation," he said, starting to slowly walk through the garden. "You were very defiant and stubborn," he laughed, shaking his head. "I didn't show it, but I respected that. I... I didn't show a lot of things," he sighed.

"I could tell though," said Zarra, "I knew you were different at least. Most males seem to be either frightened or angered by the way I behave, but you never acted like the rest. You acted like I was no different than any of the warriors you were leading, and that's all I really wanted at the time. So, thank you."

"You are very welcome," Anau said with a nod, then continuing to walk through the gardens quietly. "Well," he sighed. "The new Arbiter certainly seems up to the task, I look forward to seeing him in combat," he said, his intention being to start a conversation, but nothing war related. "Was there anything you would like to talk about?"
