Unlike the other threads, I intend to utilize this one as a continual thread, for news I find interesting. As for this news, it seems the Canadian Forces is ordering video games. 500 of them are being sent along with an Xbox 360 to an army base in Quebec. Either way, for the Cliffs Notes variant, the money for it should cost at least $25,000 C$, not to mention that they get Modern Warfare 2, Gears of War, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Fallout 3, Assassin's Creed II... it seems the military is beginning to enter the gamer generation. www.ctv.ca/CTVNews/Canada/20101117/canada-military-games-101117/The one word that starts these threads... discuss!

I saw on the news here once that Aussie troops would play video games before a deployment. It was like a simulator of the area they were going to. The terrain and city layout (streets etc) for example, were exact. I thought that was pretty cool.
