PERSONALITY
Cunning and quick, Ronday is a survivor, through-and-through. He has excellent decision-making skills, and all that inhibits his ability to rise through the military ranks is the fact that his honor meter is rather low. In his mind, he is a survivor. In mainstream Sangheili minds, he is a coward. The Ultra has, despite the considerable hurdles, managed to make it up to the rank of Ultra. He is hardly religious, and mostly just pays lip service to the Forerunners. The cunning Sangheili has recently become attached to his commander, Field Marshall Samara 'Datariee, in ways humans would dub "Fraternization." She is absolutely oblivious, and he doesn't want to admit it, but he has strong feelings for her.
HISTORY
Born to the lower-class aristocrats, the 'Taham, Ronday learned from an early age to survive. Over time, his family would die off- mainly due to a lack of military expertise- and he is now one of the last 'Taham. Ronday grew up always looking over his shoulder. After all, Kig-Yar debt collectors were a definite problem. He learned when to run, unlike most Sangheili, and takes much humiliation from it... but it's better than dying. Ronday joined to Covenant Military to escape the Kig-Yar collectors, and escaped offplanet to join the war effort against the Infidels. While he was not profoundly religious, it certainly beat the alternative.
Slowly, he crawled up in the ranks, getting promotions through sheer animal cunning. The relatively soft Sangheili eventually got promoted to be a Field Marshall's aide, and he ended up fostering feelings for her... not good. Definitely not a good thing. Over the course of two years, he saved her life- much to her consternation- many times. She regards him as a coward, but he reveres her as a goddess. Now, the pair's unit has been rotated to Reach... which is to be the most deadly battle yet.
