Russ looked at the new arrivals. He then commented, "Thank god we're leaving that hellhole starship."
(OoC: My original plan was to have him comment, "Thank god we're leaving the USG Ishimura." But that would be completely out of character. Oh well.)

"Thank goodness!" Zarra exclaimed, hurrying to greet Katar and Zaku, "For a moment I thought you two were going to be left behind." She glanced at the Spartans awkwardly, "And of course it would have been unfortunate to lose anyone else either."

Russ laughed at the awkwardness of the current situation.
He looked at Zarra, and said, "Hey, us Spartans don't come a dime a dozen. Sure, we're about as strong as you guys, but it's the augmentations we have, and not the fact we're born this way."

" Thank the Gods we finally are out of that flood infested hell hole" growled Katar coming back to his senses after being saved and the shock of being saved. However he realized that they were not out of this pickle yet unless somebody called for a ship to pick them up they were still stuck here in space but he would kill the joy later let the rest of the people here enjoy their return before he inquired how the hell they would return to normal....the parasite's expansion was vast and that Brain Form was certainly aware of their presence now....it was only a matter of time before the parasite opened fire with the ship on them....but what was causing the delay.
As it answer Katar's question the flood infected ship jumped system. *** Otto sighed he had just lost his ship to the flood and from the sounds of it the ship had just jumped system with full knowledge of where Eden, Sanghelios and other important systems were. It would be his fault for the release of The Flood into the galaxy again. " Guys....I am sorry the flood...it is all my fault I should of know that they managed to get inside my ship sooner.....it's all my fault we are in this situation now and I have potentially endangered the entire galaxy....I should be ashamed to be a Commander"

Russ looked out the window. Did that ship... just jump with Flood in it? He punched the wall once, making a loud "CLANG" on impact. He then calmed down, and put his helmet back on. He turned to Otto.
"I hereby absolve you of the crime of releasing the Flood. If we lose, I'll kill you in Heaven."
He then said, loud enough for people to hear, "Just when things couldn't get any worse, they got even more worse. So what? The Flood's been released and a bunch of bloated-ego Forerunner jackwads are running around the galaxy claiming alpha dog status. And I say we are gonna kick their asses back to where they came from and stomp them into the ground there! Now who's with me?"

"Settle down, Spartan," Anau growled at Russell, immediately coming to Otto's defence, "This is not his fault, it is nothing more than a terrible accident," He moved behind Otto, "Don't blame yourself,"
"We should focus on getting the word out," Jack spoke up, "People need to know what's coming, then we can start dividing up oxygen." He chuckled.

Darman flinched. Jack may have been trying to lighten the mood, but he had brought upon a startling realization. The dropship could only hold so much oxygen, before they would have to dip into their armor's reserves.
"We got a transmitter on this bucket? Maybe we can get word out to Fleet, have someone pick us up."

Russ looked at Darman. "Actually, that's a good idea. I think my MJOLNIR might have a radio... but it might not work at that large a range."

The pilot looked utterly scandalized at Darman's statement. The Elite stuttered, "We are not navigating in a clunky human vehicle, human. This is a state-of-the-art dropship intended for use by the best of the best. The 'bucket' has transmitters better than the infected human warship."
Zaku lifted his hand, silencing the pilot. "I do believe we understand, Pilot." The hulking Zealot, now seemingly calm, looked over his shoulder at the group in the crowded Phantom. He turned fully and spoke.
"Judging from the readouts I can see over my pilot's shoulder-" the pilot glared at the Ship Master- "this system is inhabited. There are... what? Covenant ships on the readout? Regardless, we are likely in a system controlled by either the Mgalekgolo, the Kig-Yar, the Jiralhanae, or... possibly the San 'Shyuum. I don not know. But what we will do is head for that colonized planet and find aid. Is that understood?"

"Is that supposed to make us feel better?" Lachlan asked the massive Zealot, "There's Covenant here, I'd rather suffocate than be found by them," Anau and Jack both looked at him and shook their heads. "They are an enemy, but it means survival, that's what is important," Anau said, who then looked to Zaku and nodded. "And, we might get the chance to fight those bastards again." Growled Jack.

Zaku raised his hands. "Please. All, calm yourselves. It boils down to such; sit here in space and hope someone comes to our rescue... or try and find an ally in the battle against the Rifters. The abominations are as much an enemy to the Covenant Remnants as they are to us, I'm sure. If we can find a way to push them towards the Rifters... then I believe that this might just be winnable." He turned back to the Pilot, murmuring several orders. The Zealot turned back to the rest.
"But I wish you all to know one thing- the Covenant has spilled the blood of our families and friends. They nearly wiped out humanity, and they lied to the Sangheili for thousands of years. But we may very well need them in this struggle... that is, if they don't blow us up."

Russ simply reloaded his MBR. "This is going to be fun."
It was evident he was being sarcastic.
