Welcome to Tortuga, a real shithole. The entire planet is just one big mine, covered in corrupted cities and gangs. The place is so off the grid, the UNSC and Sangheili have stopped caring about the planet, well more specifically the people. The entire planet is slowly being ripped apart for resources, they never did care for it. The scum of that planet are there to make a quick buck or to be forgotten. Lachlan Church, once a glorified pilot for the U.N.S.C, handed over his wings in exchange for a space freighter transporting raw materials to Sanghelios. When he arrives back to Tortuga, he heads straight back to his favourite bar, The Disc. "Can I get you anything, hun?" an elderly woman asked from behind the bar. "Beer, please," Lachlan sighed, loosening the straps of his flight harness. He received a smile which warmed Lachlan up a little, but really it meant nothing; she probably expects to be paid for it. Kelly then appeared on his shoulder, "Another shipment on time, I think you've earned this one," she said cheerfully as the drink slid in front of him. "Bloody oath," he agreed, guzzling it down, "f**king space pirates were on our ass the whole time," "Good thing our freighter is faster, then," she said. "No, good thing we have dickhead security who'd die for five credits," he grumbled, "A toast to cheap mercenaries!" he cheered sarcastically, raising his glass. He received little attention, just the chuckles of a few around him. Kelly hummed to herself and disappeared into Lachlan's shoulder. "Yeah, that'd be right," he sighed depressively, finishing off his beverage. Welcome to Tortuga indeed.

The inside of this ship was a mess of random cargo containers, technical cables, and spare tools. All inside one cramped-ass cargo bay. But, in the midst of it all, a lone figure floated in peace, repairing this, putt away that. Long ago, this figure used to be one of the best. Something that the humans called... a Spartan. Around 2552, they used to be classified as gods, pretty much. Doing things that seemed almost impossible.
UNSCDF/ONI SPARTAN-IV, Mitch-105. Or at least that's what they used to call him. Nowadays, it's just Mitchell, or Mitch. He floated around inside this old piece of junk that his associate called a ship. Early on, there was an agreement, you see, that if Mitch helped pay for the ship AND act as it's lead mechanic, he could stay with Lachlan and have some sort of home.
He sang Beyond the Sea, by Bobby Darin, to himself as he reconnected another cable into it's rightful socket. He only wore the bottom portion of his armour from the waist down, and a messy gray tank top. The rest of his armour stored somewhere within the ship. Finally, he gently propelled himself to a monitor and activated it. "Calling Kelly and Lachlan, answer this."

"You're receiving a call from Mitch," Kelly advised from within Lachlan's shoulder. "If he's going to tell me that something else is broken, I'm gonna shoot him," Lachlan replied, slamming his empty glass down on the bar. "Calm down, it's probably not his fault... besides, you're not going to find another mechanic who'll work for free," Kelly stated. "Yeah, well, I gotta shoot somebody. Put him through," "Mitch?" Kelly asked over the radio, "I have Lachlan, go ahead."

Mitch scratched his head. "Yea, uhh, I put the ignition coils back into place but the gravity in here is outta wack. I'll need Kelly to help me fix it. Oh, and another thing's broken, eh?" he said, bringing a hand through his red streaked black hair.

"I'll shoot him," Lachlan said, shaking his head. "He wont, we're on our way," Kelly said to Mitch, closing the comm. Lachlan dropped some coins on the counter and left the bar, heading to the spaceport and his ship.
After a few minutes of side stepping the mugging hotspots, he entered the heavily guarded, but no policed, spaceport. He placed entered the cockpit of his ship, dubbed 'AKK-056'. He placed Kelly into the main console and brought up the security camera of the cargo bay. He saw Mitch floating there and activated the intercomm. "I'm here and Kelly's loaded up, tell her what to do."

"Alright, alright," Mitch floated into the cockpit and began working on a console. "We get any new delivery errands?" Mitch asked,

"Some shipment to Sanghelios," Lachlan replied, "Just the usual stuff, raw material and such,"
"There's also a container the Quartz of Cambridge mercs paid to be on this run, contents unknown," Kelly advised.
"If it's not explosives then I'm happy, we'll punch out when you're ready, Mitch."

Mitch snapped his fingers and pointed foreward, gesturing that he was ready. "Gravity's still messed but I can fix it along the way." he said, floating to the cargo bay the check out the QoC box.
