Through the blinding blizzards of Peak 105, the Archangel, Landon's personal MECH, slowely landed at the maitnance entrance of a distress beacon. It stood idle for a moment before retracting it's mechanical wings, then it went down on one knee and it's chest openned up to allow it's pilot to exit the cockpit.
Just before he hopped out, he sent a beacon out so all nearby forces, friend or foe, could find him just in case of emergency.
Landon jumped out of his MECH and landed on the ground lightly and he quickly rose and scanned the area. He could barely see up to seven metres in front of him. The blizzards were always like this in Airavon though, and the only safe way of travel to anywhere was by a vehicle with a GPS and a careful eye. He put on his goggles and a Heads Up Display came to life inside the lens'. "No readings..." he said to himself. After making a final check to make sure he had everything, 'Bloodied Spirit', his hidden wrist blade on his left hand and his twin matte black, heavily modified M1911 handguns, he went and searched for a way inside amidst the snow, and with that, he dissappeared like a ghost.

Commander Nathan Ryder flew his personal Coyote Fast-Attack Interceptor over the snow-capped mountains. He grumbled under his breath. The blizzard was making it increasingly difficult to see, and every so often, a gust of wind would shake his plane enough to rattle his teeth. He squinted through the canopy, trying to catch even a single glimpse of Landon or his forces.

As the half-demon ruler ventured further into the facility, the only sounds that came about were the sounds of his footsteps and the occasional sigh of frustration. It was dark, and, unlike the outside, humid. And although his goggles lit up the way and warned him of any danger, he was scared and paranoid. Further and further, step after step, minute after minute, Landon searched around for the love of his life, his fiancée, Rue. He turned into another hallway, but rather than it it being like the rest of the spotless hallways, this one was a disaster. Landon stood for a moment and stared at the massacre before him. Mangled and bloody bodies scattered about. Firearms either crushed or destroyed. One or two bodies had been biffurcated. One soldier had one of their own combat knife's stabbed in the back of her head, through her helmet. What made things worse was that a sword had been shoved in her back. It made Landon uneasy of the fact that the sword wasen't foreign- it was a Soll'rah blade. One that belonged to a Varia Officer. Landon hesitantly walked through the hallway. He found a door and decrypted the datapad and entered. "What the..." he swallowed as he noticed a blood red helmet embedded into a view screen. It took abit of effort and abit of foot leverage to yank it out of the screen. He stood idle and inspected the helmet. He swallowed hard when he found the name of it's owner: LIEUTENANT-COMMANDER, RUE SHIRAYUKI HAWKE "NO...!" Landon choked and heard footsteps behind him. And in one swift movement, he took one of his handguns out of it's holster and spun around to see his target. The armoured target put his hands up and yelled. "LANDON!" "JAKE!" A gunshot was heard, then silence, then the sound of a shell bouncing off the floor, and then silence. "f**king christ, man..." Landon sighed, "One way to get yourself shot..."

"Pilot, are we close?" a tall dark figure dressed in a trench coat asked, sitting very uncomfortably in the cramped cockpit. Though luckily for this Seraphall, he was no warrior and therefore was not equipped with a pair of wings. Only his heavy coat, merciless attitude and his handgun somewhat ironically nick-named 'Mercy'.

Landon explained the current situation to Jake as clearly as he could. "Sorry, bro, I dunno what I can say to help this situation. Sorry, man." Jake said to his half demon best friend. Landon gave Jake Rue's helmet, sighed and sat down against a wall. Jake inspected the broken helmet. It was broken open from the bottom of the mouth piece to the top of right right part of the lavender visor. He too, inspected the name. He looked at Landon. "You think she's still alive?" Landon stood up. "I know she is. She's gotta be." Jake unshouldered his custom combat shotgun. "What about those soldiers out there? Did you kill them?" "No," Landon shook his head, "C'mon, maybe we'll find some answers if we keep going. She's around here somewhere." his said, pulling his goggles back down over his eyes and gestured for Jake to follow. He studied the Blood Rose emblem on Rue's combat helmet once more and then set it down to follow Landon. "You think anyone will get that beacon you set in your MECH?" "I suppose we can hope."

A blip suddenly appeared on Ryder's radar, as well as an insistent droning alarm. He glanced curiously at the blip. It wasn't an aircraft, and it wasn't moving. He cautiously made his way towards the dot, setting the craft down near his objective. As he raised the canopy, he peered through his flight goggles. The "blip" was a MECH of some sort, but he was unsure of the type, model, or any other specific details. There was a rapidly fading trail of footprints embedded in the snow, and Nathan, pausing to draw his sidearm from its holster, set of after them.

As the two childhood and best friends ventured further into the corridors, they stumbled upon more and more bodies like the ones outside of the section's entrance. "God damn... Who... what.... did this...?" he said, inspecting each body and retrieving their dog tags. Landon was too deep into thought about Rue to answer him.
Out of nowhere, another set of footsteps were heard. Landon drew both of his handguns and Jake unshouldered his custom combat shotgun, both of them had their weapons fixed on the source. Much to their suprise, it was a man in a long white and blood stained lab coat, bearing green, messy hair. Verde. Landon groaned and put his guns away. As did Jake. "God dammit, Verde! What the hell are you doing here?" Landon asked. Verde fixed his glasses and looked at Landon, and then to Jake. "I see you brought you dumb muscle, Landon." Jake growled at Verde and shouldered his weapon. "Go f**k yourself, four eyes." Verde ignored Jake. Landon sighed. "Verde, how'd you get here and why are you still here?"
"Wouldn't you rather want to know where Rue is?"

"Hmph, no need to wait," Castiel mumbled sarcastically, leaping from the cockpit. He landed deep in the snow and followed Ryders foot steps to entrance of the facility. "That is Landons mech," he said, fiddling with the door controls before it finally openned. He stepped inside and shut the door after Nathan. "I hate the cold; I hate snow," he said, brushing his shoulders clean and shaking his jacket. He took a step forward and analysed the halls, then quickly drawing Mercy, "Do you smell that?"

Nathan heard voices and wheeled around. He stood face-to-face with several soldiers of Avalon. He nodded in acknowledgement. "Whaddaya think happened here?", he said as he gestured at the body of a guard. "Some kinda animal?" He clutched his Luger in one hand and a flashlight in the other. He swept the beam across the walls, searching for any sign of danger. "I guess we're clear..."

(OoC: Just fyi, just one Seraphall has been with you the whole time. But we'll roll with this)
Castiel kneeled before the body, "Smell is the only sense that does not lie," he said, sticking his finger into the wound of the dead soldier, "Sight can betray you, and taste..." he then placed his finger in his mouth, "Taste can be deceiving," He stood from the body and looked down the hall, "There is no one living ahead of us, though keep your guard up."

Landon stood quietly in relief and sorrow as he viewed Rue. She was in a lone stasis tube filled to the brim with icy cold water. Her injuries were major, but non-severe, now. Oddly, she was out of her combat armour and wearing meerly a gray t-shirt and athletic short-shorts. He slowely walked up to the stasis tube and put his hand on the bullet proof glass. He stared at his fiancé's near lifeless body. "How long has she been like this?" He asked. Verde fixed his glasses and cleared his throat as he pulled out a data-pad. "Exactly three days, fifteen hours, seven minutes, ten seconds and counting." he replied. Landon studied the glass. "I'm getting her out." Verde perked up, "What? Landon, no! It's too dangerous. I forbid you from doing it." Jake, who was leaning against a wall watching the current situation, laughed quietly. " You forbid him?" he smirked. "Yes. I forbid him." Verde said, slowely walking up to Jake. "I put her in there for research. Not to keep her safe." Landon turned around and looked at Verde suspiciously. "You put my wife a stasis tube to study her? Instead of saving her life?" he drew one of his handguns. Verde sighed and fixed his glasses. "Well, yes. The other subjects pf the Angelo Project died when Rue's team found them. I gave orders to kill those subjects and the entire company of soldiers so no one saw what went on here. I think I lost my blade along the way too." Jake growled and grabbed Verde by the throat, "It was you who killed them?" "Well not on my own, of course." he replied, then wave his hand in the air. "I had my new prototypes help out." and, on que, seven lifeless husks of Seraphall armour came out of the shadows. They were the assassins that tried to kill Landon not even a week ago. Some of their armour had been replaced with heavy ballistic armour from Soll'rah. "And now," Verde said, freeing himself from Jake's grip, "Time for me to show my true form." Castiel and his two warriors moved through the halls of the facility. Castiels pace began to increase as he followed his nose. "I smell... darkness," he said as he moved through the blood stained rooms. He then suddenly stopped in front of a door, raising his hand. "Like I said," he drew his handgun, "Smell doesn't lie. Break down the door," The two warriors barged down the door and entered the cryo room, Castiel entered afterwards and stood in between the two warriors. "Greetings," he aimed and fired Mercy, blowing open one of the mutated Seraphalls heads. His warriors then engaged the husks, Castiels attention then moved on to the demon form Verde, he fired another shot.

"What the..?!", Nathan exclaimed. Several mutated warriors stepped out of the shadows. He drew his Luger and sent a tight group into the chest of the nearest one, knocking it backwards. He fired his remaining shots into its faceplate, sending it crashing to the floor. He dropped the spent clip and slapped a new one into place. These things were everywhere...

The bullet of the Searphall's gun went strait through Verde's head. The newly transformed demon simply gestured for more of his Seraphall Abomonations to attack Castiel. Landon took off his overcoat and his devil arm flared bright blue and red. "V-Verde...? Why? You're human!" he said, aiming his handguns at the insect like demon. "Was human, Landon. I WAS human. I merely... ascended." and with that, he waved his hand in the air and gestured around seventeen guards in knight's armour flew down and prepared to engage everyone. images4.wikia.nocookie.net/devilmaycry/images/7/7f/Alto_angelo1.jpg((OoC: Alto Angelo(s), they are 'ascended' versions of their subordinates, the Bianco Angelo. (OoC: Don't over power your units)
"The souls of these Seraphalls have been replaced with something foul! They are no longer one of us, engage, warriors. Engage!" Castiel roared, unleashing fire upon the winged demons. "For Avalon!" a warrior cheered, lunging his sword into a fallen Seraphall, the other moved forward and engaged an Angelo.
(OoC: Do not kill any of them)
