Got this from the NS Forums too.
Quote unquote: A Republican lawmaker in Ohio, U.S.A has re-introduced a bill that would give a man the final choice on whether the woman he got pregnant could have an abortion.
Dubbed the “father’s right bill,” it would give the man the right to stand up and say he doesn’t want the fetus he contributed DNA to to be aborted. But it says nothing about then forcing him to be a good father or provide financial stability."
So, do you support this bill? Or not? Frankly, I don't, because it's another step towards sexism against women, which, frankly, WE'RE TRYING TO AVOID.

This makes complete sense! I vote to pass it!
On that note, screw the 19th Amendment!

lolsarcasm. Nice joke.
Either way, it'll get skullf*cked in the Senate for breaking the 19th amendment.

Lol this is not sexist as why can't a father have a say in if he wants the child...he did help make it. I support because if Dad wants to keep his child then why can't he but both parents should have a say...which they do as this says if the mom is thinking about haveing an abortion then the father should have a say if he wants to keep his child.

As one NS user puts it, this an attempt to return to the "good old days" where a man dictates how a woman can live her life. That is sexist.

Even if it is sexist the ends justify the means here as a human life is spared here....human life > most everything. Don't forget the child is involved here so he is saving his kids life...the mother isn't being tolerant to her kids point of view (not in every case). I am bringing this up to my Civics teacher see what he thinks and by friend who is in to politics and I will ask them if they think it is sexist. Could we have a female point of view here?

Well, it's sexist because it's basically a woman selling out her life after sex: she is free to choose what she does with her body. This law would make men the ultimate bosses, and would make women their semi-slaves. Once again, return to the good old days, return to sexism. Oh, are you Catholic? And I don't think Indi would want to get involved. (OoC: I c y they call it Debate Room now)

Yes I am Catholic and yes I see how this could be used that purpose so I would still vote for it but I would vote for it even happier if they said both parents had to consent to the abortion..though for this to happen the mom would have to say yes or is considering getting one so there is mom's point of view and imput and Dads well he can ethier say yes or no. You can't control people and there are flaws to this law but as I said before the end justifys the mean...when we get to abortion to Civics I will bring this topic up.

Here's my PoV on the law: the dad should get a say, but overall, the mother makes the final decision. However, the father can say something.

Big support.
On a personal level, I'm against abortion.
But it should always be a possibility. Not everyone has the same morals as me, nor should have to.
And the father's half responsible; if he doesn't want an abortion but she does, he should have to take care of it, but yeah. Support.
