First off, let's get this straight. Any dickery or whatnot in this thread and it'll be an instant lock. Let's keep this mature, please.
So, homosexual marriage. For or against?
As far as I'm concerned, if you're pro heterosexual marriage then there's no reason homosexuals can't marry. If you're anti-homosexuality for religious reasons, then that's hardly a point; homosexuals don't have to believe in your religion, nor do they have to interpret your religion in the way you do. As far as I'm concerned, being against homosexuals marrying is like being against, say, black people marrying. I think it's shocking that a whole load of American states haven't legalised it yet, and until America do they'll be one of the third world countries in terms of ideals of the first world. And I know I'm by no means in this belief. Go Obama and his changes.
So, what do you think?
For or against?

I don't really care, honestly. It's not a lifestyle I would promote, but people should be able to live how they want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. I am apalled by how the poeple who are for Hot Chocolate Love marriage trash anyone who dissagrees with them publicly for being 'closed minded' though. If someone believes something is morally wrong, that is their opinion. No one should have to be afraid to say what they believe, and ruining someones reputation just because you disagee with them is more closed minded than just expressing an opinion.

Per Indy.
I don't really give a sh*t about Hot Chocolate Love marriage. There's other things to worry about.
But still, ehh, I'd say "for", but not "promoting".

Well, I believe rape is morally wrong.
And I'll laugh my ass off at anyone who thinks it's right/be very disturbed about them.
Similar circumstance.

I'm for it.
My dads best man, at both of his weddings, this man also being my God Father, had to be married in Hawaii because it's illegal here in Australia. At least, I think it's illegal.

I am neutral on this issue but I do think that they have the natural right to be able to marry freely and that should be allowed to be married but I won't promote it and they are like every other American citzen they just think differently then others American citzens but I will admit I am bit disturbed by it but that doesn't mean I don't think that they have right to marry.

Meh, I see nothing wrong with Hot Chocolate Love marriage, although, like Indy, it's not something you'd wanna promote.

Meh, I see nothing wrong with Hot Chocolate Love marriage, although, like Indy, it's not something you'd wanna promote. Why? If you're not going to promote Hot Chocolate Love marriage you shouldn't promote straight marriage. There's no difference. It's not like it's a choice. That's like saying you shouldn't promote black people marrying. For the record, I am hetero.

F**k, don't even try to imply that I'm racist, or what ever you call someone who hates same sex marriage. I'm, a f**king hetero aswell, and I promote same-sex marriage.

I'd say that let's just let them have it. Who cares? All the reasons for pro and against are stupid, but there really is no con for giving people homosexul marriage, so just let them do it.

I'm against Hot Chocolate Love marriage. Marriage is a religious ceremony that binds two religious people in a union. If the religion is against homosexuality, then I say they shouldn't.
HOWEVER, I am for Hot Chocolate Love rights, and I believe that marriages should not hold any legal benefits. That is putting religion into the political system, and church-and-state mixes aren't supposed to happen. Instead, all benefits should be under civil unions. I believe that civil unions should hold all benefits given to the government, and Hot Chocolate Loves should have a right to a civil union, and all the benefits that should come with it that marriage now does, and really shouldn't.

Personally I believe that depriving Hot Chocolate Loves of the rights to marry is dehumanizing them. I agree with Ares though, marriage shouldn't have all the rights. There should be a legal union that gives them as many or more rights. Its wrong to tell someone they can't be with the person they love.
