The Phantoms raced to the surface of the planet. The small excavation fleet had done a good job eliminating the inferior human defence fleet and orbital defences. Katar stood at the edge of the lift and he looked at the Special Operations forces with him. "while our forces destroy and distract the humans we are to find Tano'Kunees team and retrieve the artifact...less fun but we will have the honor of finding what the gods left behind and to free it of being poisoned by the vermin".

((OoC: When is this exactly, I'm fine with playing a warrior or a medic, I just need to know whether Zarra is armed (initially) or not. )) "Why is it that whenever we find something important there are always hordes of humans already swarming over it?" Zarra muttered, "Why can't we find something on an uninhabited planet, or one of our own planets?" ((OoC: P.S. Why did you get rid of all the background info you had for when Katar was given the mission back on the ship? You could have just left it as it was and skipped on ahead, (it just bugs me when people delete something for no good reason.) ))

(OOC I would say during the Time of Operation First Strike which is near the start of 1st Battle of Earth or during the events of Ghosts of Onyx and I deleted because it didn't seem important at the time though now that I think of it it is important ...if you like the First Strike time then Katar will be extra grumpy)) Couldn't help over hearing the warrior/medics comment about how the relics were always with the human. Katar growled. "it is quite simple the humans wish for the destruction of the gods work...look what they did to the Holy Ring" growled Katar. He restrained himself for beating this comrade and returned to his post at the edge of the lift. He growled to himself as he thought how that Demon destroyed the Holy Ring. "focus on the mission take save your anger for the humans" said that little voice inside of Katars head.

Toku 'Vatomee stood in the Phantom containing Councilor Katar 'Yamosee and Zarra 'Yairumee and the other five Sangheili fighters. He seemed rather out of place in the dropship, a cobalt-armored Sangheili amidst black-armored Spec Ops forces. He tried to make himself a little smaller and less noticable, but his glowing Needler needles made him rather noticable. In his arms, Toku cradled a Carbine... The Sangheili kleptomaniac then noticed something on one of the other Spec Ops Elites... A golden leaf? A mark of power. Those leaves signified strength, and commanded respect. Naturally, Toku had the compulsive reaction to steal it. He slid closer, still making himself appear smaller, as everyone seemed used to him trying to do. Eventually, though, he wormed in closer. He noticed that the two smartest Elites in the craft had their heads turned away from him, as they were talking. While the Councilor and 'Yairumee looked away, he used his shoulder plate to silently slide it off, and into the underside of his shoulder armor. Pinched it. He backed away into his corner again, feigning someone having stomped on his two-toed foot. Toku recalled in his mind that he had been sent here with Spec Ops fighters because he had been both the best and smartest fighter in his area, and that his officers wanted him gone for his impudent demeanor and smart mouth. However, they had thought this would be a good mission for him because Toku despised humans.... The blue-armored Elite then got an idea. He walked around the group of Spec Ops Elites, going over to the Councilor. "Greetings, Councilor," the Minor Domo Elite said once he was near the white-armored, large-crested Sangheili. Toku felt rather... noticable, though, because of his obviously different armor.

((OoC: I'm going to have Zarra be a medic, just 'cause I feel like it. )) Startled and embarrassed by Katar's gruff reply, Zarra shouldered her bag of medical gear quickly and scampered away from the irate Councilor. She found a quiet corner and pretended to test her armor's active camouflage.

Oppum sat in the cargo bay, surrounded by his latest clients: the Covenant Special Forces. These were some of the missions he enjoyed most. He checked to make sure his arsenal was intact; Spiker, Energy Sword, Mines, Energy Garrote. Satisfied that nothing had come lose, he clicked his mandibles in eagerness. Ok, so maybe he wasn't entirely sure of his objective, but that made it all the more fun.

Katar stared at the elite for a moment. "hello Minor" replyed the Councilor who wondered why the lower ranks always wished to speak to him...at least this one partically greeted him correctly

(OOC As thread owner I feel entitled to the ability to double post to keep my thread moving..I could modify but it wouldn't be noticed as much)
The Phantoms landed on the outskirts of a metropolis. Katar growled at the site of the human city was in perfect condition besides the natural decay. "My brothers we shall burn this city to ashes and the rest of this world shall follow...we have no need for reinforcemens and shall take this city and destroy it with our claws [brick by brick]...remember do not fear death as death shall bring you every lasting harmony with the gods and with those worthy enough to take a seat with them..forward my brothers and we shall make short work of this abomination" said Katar as he pointed to the city signaling that they should charge the city.
(OOC Sorry Ares but our conversation wasn't really going anywhere...you can speak to Katar now...you can even mention that fact they never got to finish their conversation aboard the Phantom..due to interuptions and such

Toku was cut off from replying by the Phantom opening its cargo doors. It would have to wait, apparently. The cobalt-armored, kleptomaniacal Elite jumped from the hovering Phantom. seeing as Katar wished them to charge. He landed on the ground, his Carbine ready for a fight. Over the comm, Toku overheard Katar spewing forth religious nonsense again... Toku thought so because he was secretly atheistic. But he would never tell anyone that. The Sangheili Minor Domo watched as the other Phantoms deployed two more Elite Spec Ops Lances, a pair of Stealth Sangheili, a duo of Hunters, a crowd of Unngoy, and... a pack of Jiralhanae.
He spat on the ground upon seeing the ape-like aliens charging at the city. Disgusting wretches. Nevertheless, he raised his Carbine to the sky and bellowed, "For our brothers!!" and charged forward... A lance of Grunts diverged from the horde of Unngoy to follow him. He had backup now in the form of four Unngoy with Plasma Pistols, the leader with a Needler, a Grunt Heavy Weps, and their Deacon, an Unngoy with a flag on its back and a Plasma Rifle in hand.
It was time for war.

Oppum jumped out of the Phantom. He was a bit confused as to why Special Forces were leading an Infantry charge, but he simply shrugged. As long as he got paid. He pulled his Spiker from it's holster and began the advance toward the city.

Zarra followed behind the warriors, staying in camouflage. She tried to keep an eye on the Councilor. Such high ranking Elites took priority over any other patients when they were wounded. If he went down, she would have to be there in moments, or risk angering the entire Council.

Toku, not being a Spec Ops Elite, was in the charge... He fired his carbine pell-mell into the buildings he passed... After all, humans were the anitchrist to him. The Sangheili bellowed, green plasma bolts leaping from his carbine into windows and doors. The cobalt-armored Elite pulled a plasma grenade off his belt and flung it through the window of a building... The explosion pleased him.
The Elite knew that he had been put here as a distraction so the Spec Ops could sneak in and get the Artifact. So he was calling as much attention to himself as possible, and hopefully enough destruction.
He saw a Marine. The Sangheili roared, firing six carbine shots- five struck the human man, and he toppled from the roof he was on, covered in plasma wounds. The blue-armored Elite roared in pleasure, kicking the body and continuing on his joyous spree of terror with his seven Unngoy firing randomly around... Hopefully, the Hunters would soon get her to help with the distraction. The Spec Ops Elites must sneak in and get the Artifact...

Oppum 'Refumee stared at the blue armored berserker. He was apparently the bravest.... or craziest... Sangheili in this entire company. Oppum chuckled to himself, then slapped a drum into his Spiker. As crude and primitive as it was, he found that it got the job done. He ran up alongside the Minor and nodded in acknowledgement, then joined in clearing the houses.

Toku glanced at the Elite who had run up beside him, and nodded. The cobalt-amored Sangheili hadn't been informed that someone else would help him in his mayhem... No matter. The Minor Domo roared again, and fired some Carbine Shots into a small barracks. The military base was being ravaged by the Covenant..
Hunters could be seen obliterating turrets, bahsees shrieked overhead, shooting up the UNSC base, the Brutes were occupying a small force... But the two Sangheili and the small group of grunts held the spotlight, simply causing as much mayhem and destruction as was physically possible in the street.
Toku grabbed an older marine who tried to run past him by the neck. The Sangheili lifted him with his left hand, and raised his carbine in his right. The purplish weapon smacked into the human heavily, breaking his arm, and Toku dropped the man to the ground. Then, the kleptomaniacal Sangheili unloaded six shots into the mustached human's body. Very pleasing...

"hey look that must be their leader" whispered a Marine who was hideing in the bushes near the Councilor. "are you sure" asked the other marine. "definatly people wearing hats tends to be the ones in charge" replyed the marine. "thats not really a hat" replyed the other marine. "lets just get him" replyed the marine as he jumped to tackle the elite with his buddy close behind. Katar growled and grabbed the human about to tackle him and proceeded to crush his skull. He turned to face his other threat. "good bye" said Katar as he shot the human with is plasma rifles.
