Jack, the captain, acutually had a pretty easy going life. Lots of friends, a family that cared, and a loving girl. And suprisingly, none of this was ever taken from him. He joined the ODST to protect this and the other lives he knew that didn't have it easy like he did. Since he was always fascinated with war, he decided to train to become one of the best captains Earth has ever seen. He has proved this on the field many times.
Steve, the man who is so quiet everyone thinks he walks on air without even trying to. Seriously. He walks quiet constantly. Nobody ever hears him walk. Steve thinks it's a bit too loud. But his hearing has always been that way. So has his eyesite. As a matter of fact, all of his senses have been acute to everyone elses. But Steve grew up in a town where silence was a nescessity. If you weren't quiet enough to sneak through someones house or have good enough senses to be a lookout, you were useless. Steve's skill was in high demand back in the day. Small fee to be a lookout, and for a little extra, he'd break into any house, doesn't matter. But Steve did hit a few rough bumps in his life. His parents died, then his brother died, and so on. All from Covenant attacks. Steve joined the ODST to settle a grudge, and he is. One, two, or maybe even three Brutes, Elites, Jackels, and Grunts at a time.
Ray grew up in a small town where street brawls and local beatdowns were the norm. Ray has never been beaten in a single one. He always traveled with his friends. Always. If he had to walk to the store, he had a friend with him. Down at his house, had a friend with him. He grew up around his friends, not his family. He had a mom that didn't care for him, and a dad that was never around. And about the time he hit his teens, he was into all sorts of stuff. Drug-dealing, local muscle, breaking and entering. The most amazing part about it? He never got caught. In his neighborhood, everybody was a suspect, so people didn't usually get into trouble, and there were rats out there, no doubt. But the most important factor of his childhood? His ability with explosives. He made his own fireworks for July. You wanted an M80? Don't come to Ray. He's got his own trend. Everything he had was better than an M80 or a bottlerocket. But if that's what you really want, Ray can get it. And war? For him? Nothing to it. Even though he's now part of a black-ops group, he still keeps his old motto, one he got back in the day: "There's always somethin' to blow up."
Note from author: You like? Hope so. I just thought you wanted a look at Team Shadow's past. And Ch. 2 will begin soon.
