But if you want something that can be stealthed, size will be an issue. The bigger the ship, the harder it is to mask its heat signatures, maintain the stealth coating, etc.
The Halcyons are really old, but can take quite a beating before succumbing to enemy fire. Marathons are the biggest thing in Humanity's arsenal, so I highly doubt you'd be able to stealth one.

Go with the Destroyer! Or if you want single-ships that badly, use a Frigate, it has enough room for Pelicans and stuff.
