Alright troopers, as I'm sure you're all aware (Due to my continuos ranting), I am a cartographer for Halo: Custom Edition. For all of you illiterate savages (Specs), that means "Map Maker". Anywho, I've been spending a lot of time working on my current project, in an attempt to create something of high enough quality to be considered releasable to the general public. Real Men Don't Need Maps "We're not lost. This is a shortcut..." The year is 2552, and the Human-Covenant War rages on. While attempting to establish a command post in the canyons of Installation 04, a team of Marines was sent to scout the surrounding area. After encountering and engaging several Type-25 Troop Carriers, the Pelican was forced to put down in a nearby canyon. A crippled Spirit pursued, and deployed ground forces to cleanse the Holy Relic. The survivors have fought for control of the area for almost two weeks, each side staging guerilla attacks, and stealing supplies. The resulting chaos has resulted in heavily fortified bases, using improvised Covenant Shielding, as well as numerous pieces of UNSC equipment. Ok, there's basically the plot I've kept in mind while designing my map. I've created epic bases, but the rest of the map seems a bit... empty. I need ideas as to what I could place on the rest of the map. Name suggestions would also be appreciated.

Looks great! Does it have bots or is it just a multiplayer map? Either way I would download it as is. Give me a link as soon as you can and I'll beta test for you.

Thanks guys . But that's another problem, my file transfer is all outta whack, and I can't send it to anyone . And no, there aren't any bots. AI won't sync over the internet, and they tend to cause more lag than they're worth, so I decided not to include any.

True, though bots can provide hours of entertainment when no one else is around to play with.

I hate how they never stop respawning, though... XD

Can't you upload the .map file to Halomaps?

That's why the best ones have a long respawn timer for the bots. I've seen some maps with some really creative respawning, there was one where I thought I killed all of the Sentinels, then ten minutes later, just when I was getting tired of Flood, they showed up again. It felt almost like I was playing a new campaign level. Breaks and a variety of enemies can really make a map alot of fun.

I could, but I would really like to test it before releasing it. And if it turns out to have some sort of balancing issues or something, and completely flunks out, I'd have a reputation for creating a piece of crap. The super-fortified bases look epic, and seem like a good idea, but who knows? That may end up making it near impossible to capture the enemies flag.

Just post a disclaimer. Say it hasn't been tested and you're open to suggestions.

But Halo 3 maps are a lot more standardized, it places limits on what you can do. With the millions of variables involved in dealing with tags in CE, there's a lot more things that could go wrong.
