Zarra smiled. "I would do whatever it takes to keep you safe," she murmured, kissing him, "And I know you would do the same for me." She looked toward the light coming in through the window, "What time is it? It's probably time we got up anyway." She grinned, "Unless you would like to stay a little longer," she said playfully, "I don't think either of us need to be anywhere today."

Anau gave Zarra a suggestive purr and rolled onto his side, "Well, I told Tysc I'd help him with the morning harvest," he said, running his finger up her arm to her shoulder, "But I think he can make do without me for thirty minutes or so."
Tysc retired the same time as Anau. The two traded their military lives for a peaceful one, which was one of many things they had in common. Unfortunately, the two also shared the mental after effects of war. Anau successfully suffered silently, which was his intention. But while Tysc tried to do the same, it was evident in his voice and movement that something was wrong.

(OoC: Hey chicka bum bum?)
Getting back to his room, he decided he'd go to sleep. Just after he took off his helmet...
*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*
He turned off the alarm clock. Eighth 24 hour shift of the month. He was tired and cranky. He headed down to the shooting range with his MBR - he cared for it well.

984 was bored off his arse, so he walked through the base.
(OoC: The next part is just to manifest my AI character, if it's not allowed then this part of the post can be removed.)
Back in his room, though, a change was happening. 984 had requisitioned a holographic chip: seeing as there were enough for the majority of humans, the request was granted. He had programmed it, and for the past week nothing had happened.
As he walked through the base unawares, the chip began boot procedures. And then...
A man appeared on the chip, with an MBR with a grenade launcher on his back. He was black-skinned, and wore a military uniform. He looked at his hands, then looked around. "So this is my new home from now on... looks nice. Kinda small though. Wonder who lives here..."

" Then show me what you are investigating....if you don't mind perhaps we could lend a hand in your investigations" said the Police Ultra.
***
Captain Vadum emerged right in front of Charlie along with his team of five elites. He loved activate camoflage and how it made you mostly invisable to the eye and well he got his boys the good stuff that the elite stealth elites got...it was expensive but Councilor Katar got the funding for this operation. "your under arrest for terrorism and being a member of a known criminal organisation". He held his Plasma Repeater in ready.
A bulky elite grabbed Charlie and restrained her. He released the "dagger" (OOC The Sword Gauntlet thing on Halo Reach) and held it up against the human. He nodded at the Captain he had the authority to kill this bitch.
" Try anything and ethier I will kill you, a sniper will kill you, the fine gentlemen restraining you will kill you or a hidden officer will kill you" growled the Captain glaring at the human. The Councilor would want to see this one she looked important.

"Of course, officer."
Bass moved past an Elite searching drawers filled with office supplies towards Griggs, who already had a folder with the files in his hand. Between two of his fingers, Griggs handed over the folder to Bass, "The folder's not up to date but I got as much as I could."
"Thanks, Griggs," Bass nodded as he flipped through the files detailing the Pan Prawn leader's life and previous activities. Backgrounds, affiliations, bases of operation, and so on.
Griggs took a sip of his coffee. "Whatever. I don't like those Elites being here, boss."
"They're just doing their job, Griggs, like what we need to do," said Bass, looking at Griggs now, "Mind checking on the cooler in the back while we wait this out? I think we need a new gallon put in."
Griggs raised an eyebrow, but nodded anyway, leaving for the hallway that Bass emerged from earlier. With his co-worker gone, Bass returned to the Elite in charge, placing the open folder on a nearby desk. Photos and documents spilled out as Bass fingered through them. As he spoke, he stopped at photos detailing each sentence he spoke. The first was of a syringe with a blue liquid inside.
"As you already know, the Pan Prawn are known for drug trades, especially in Airups, which acts like a medicinal herb for Sanghelli but is a depressive drug for those with a human anatomy," Bass nodded, turning the page to another photo of a human that has O.D.'d on Airups. Its skin was bruised with purple welts and its eyes bloodshot. "The Sanghelli government has already passed restrictions on Airups for humans but like any drug, you can find them on local dealers."
Bass turned to another photo of the Prawns, humans of Asian descent wearing purple clothes. "The Prawns hasn't historically shown distaste towards Sanghelli products, but are... or were... known for attacking humans. At least 19 humans have filed complaints or reported a crime involving the Pan Prawn, while a low number of 2 Sanghelli reported a crime involving them."
"Our investigation was commissioned by a Pan Prawn member who didn't want to ask the authorities for help. The leader, Kevin Chan, was missing for two weeks. Kevin Chan was a charismatic and resourceful leader, but a hothead. Their gang was in a panic, but they didn't want other gangs to know. Two days later, that Pan Prawn member that came to us was murdered, but the Sanghelli police already cleaned up that investigation. The details of our investigation on Kevin Chan are all in these documents, even the state we found him in: burnt to a crisp. Only his face was recognizable. That's when we called you."

Zaku 'Vudem strode into the Police HQ in Sangheilos. This particular district was special because it had one of the highest percentages of human criminal activity on the planet. This place was like a resume stain because of the notoriery of the criminals here, and the seeming inability to deal with them. However, if one actually knew anything, one would see that this district also had the highest statistical rate of crimes solved. Funny how these things worked out, no?
The hulking Zealot turned to watch his Phantom glide higher above the building, waiting. Zaky turned back to the lobby, and stalked up to a crimson-armored Officer.
"Major!" Zaku snarled. "I am aware that Councilor Katar is here. Take me to him at once."

Charlie cried out a large variety of curse words as she was apprehended by the Elite. She took into consideration what he said about her being killed, and looked to her group of undercover members, who were all looking at her with a questioning look. "He said no cops, damnit!" she yelled in a fit of rage, she seemed to calm down, but she wasn't done, "Don't just stand there you grubs! Shoot them!"
The undercover members didn't know how to react, most turned and ran. A very wise decision. The others pulled their weapons out from under their coats and opened fire on the Elites. Charlie then began squiring and attempted to reach her sidearm.

" Alright then just tell me what excess you will need to go on this investigation and you got it" said the officer after reading over the files.
*** " quit squirming around" growled the bulkly elite as walked in the center of the plasma sheild wall with the Captain. (OOC Police Officers may cary plasma sheilds ( like Riot Sheilds).
A Transport Spectre pulled up and the Captain and the elite holding Charlie hostage got in the Spectre with another group of elites who had come back from their mission. It sped off back towards police HQ.
***
" fine but he is busy so don't get your hopes up in seeing him plus he already has said he does not need the militarys help so you are probally wasting your time here" said the Major as he rolled his eyes and gestured for Zaku to follow him to the Councilors Office. " Councilor I have a Shipmaster here to see you" yelled the Major when he arrived outside the door. ***
" Alright send him in" said Katar. He sighed the military had been pressing him and claimed HIS police force was not doing a good job. They were doing the best they could without being able to outright attack the humans and having to always be on the defensive.

Zaku strode past the Sangheili Police Major into Katar's office. The hulking, golden-armored Zealot placed a holopad on the Councilor's desk, and flexed his mandibles in a Sangheili smile. The huge Ship Master growled, "We stumbled across this in our scanns. It's a criminal stockhouse in the Pan Prawn District. I just thought you would like these manifests, if your police forces haven't already raided it."

That didn't take much convincing at all, Bass thought. Just makes covering up the crime a lot easier. Rubbing his chin, Bass pondered on the thought of 'continuing the investigation,' knowing full well that he will not. Instead, he would have a Pulsian plant strong evidence implicating a Devils member. Not only would it get the police off of his back, but clears his agency of suspicion. Also, with this officer offering his help, Bass could take the opportunity to get more dirt on other gangs. Dirt that Eden's Pulse hasn't picked up on yet.
"Well, when you guys busted in, I was kinda hoping you guys would take over that investigation for us," Bass nodded as he leaned on the desk, "but we'll finish what we started. We'd like a list of humans that are known to be affiliated with the local gangs and the individual profiles that you have on them. We narrowed the possibility of each gang being the guilty party but it doesn't hurt to be thorough."

After a few hours of slaving in the hot Sanghelios sun, Anau finally returned from the field. He entered his home and walked straight into the kitchen, carrying a bundle of vegetables Tysc had paid him with. "Soups on!" he called.

Zarra laughed happily, taking the bundle from Anau. "Looks like a good crop," she said looking over the vegetables. She set them on the counter, "The garden is doing well too, I spent a little time on it while you were gone." She smiled and kissed him lightly, "I start cooking, you should wash up."

Anau kissed her back and smiled, "I won't be long," he moved through the house, holding his hand under his muddy tools so dirt wouldn't get on the floor. He arrived in the bathroom and dumped his tools into the sink, running the tap. He gave the tools a quick once over and then rinsed a cloth to clean his face. He lifted his head and placed the cloth over his face, letting droplets of water fall from the cloth into his mouth. He then wiped himself clean and rejoined Zarra in the kitchen. "Smells good."
