Skin contact would be ruled out unless the skin has an open wound.

Directly yes only open wounds indirectly the "virus" (we decided it was a virus correct) was on hands and you touched your mouth or eyes then you could get infected as well as those are other enterence to the body. but that of course is if you didn't wash your hands..which hopefully after touching a dead body you would wash your hands....but some people have poor hygenie and wouldn't. This of course is only if it a virus.

We're making up our own zombies. Using some traits from the Solanum virus, (and other types of zombies), that we like, and scrapping the traits we don't like. But I don't see why it shouldn't be a virus, so I guess we'll just go with that.

Well, it can't be a parasite. But it could be an antibiotic-resistant bacteria, or a virus.
