Even if this is a "later" model how much can you really change a Flamethrower design with a tank...plus I did it so it is not OP

To Indi: Late response, but about the grenade launcher- I believe a Brute Shot fires an 80mm grenade. A Modern underslung grenade launcher is typically 40mm. I don't see why you couldn't put a 60mm grenade launcher on a gun, but it'd be kinda big and awkward.

I think that's a gray scale version of the Nerf gun my brother got for Christmas last year, but it does look very nice. Approved. Also, 777, I know it's possible, but I want to avoid putting powerful attachments on weapons. A gun with a small grenade launcher attachment or just a large grenade launcher would work, but being able to use a gun and a large grenade launcher without switching weapons is just too powerful.

Holier Than Thou gave insight on the MBR-55HB SR (my name for it now). So I've decided to improve on it. Here is my new submission:
Modular Battle Rifle G2 (designation MBR-55A2HB SR)
During the situation with the Covenant Reformation, SPARTAN-984 came up with ideas for modifications to the gun to work better at close-combat. He eventually re-built his MBR-55, incorporating the new parts. The end result is the MBR-55A2HB SR, an improved variant.
Overall, the gun is exactly the same as the old MBR, except for three crucial features added:
Scope has been redesigned to allow for four vision modes: night-vision (amplifies ambient light), thermal (detects hot-blooded creatures), electromagnetic field (detects the EMF given by working machinery/electronics), and motion tracking (detects changes in the air to identify movement).
New attachment: an underbarrel eight-gauge magazine-fed semi-automatic shotgun for close quarters battle situations. (Google the XM25 Shotgun and that's kind of what it looks like).
New feature: Scope is now removable, and iron sights flip up upon its absence. Works best with Compact Battle Rifle configuration.
How'dya like? Other than the new scope, new shotty, and new iron sights, nothing is changed about the MBR.

Only problem I have is the motion tracking by detecting changes in air (granted I am not an motion tracking device expert but his is something I found wrong with it) Wind is a disturbance in the air so wouldn't the tracker pick that up? Again sorry I am not a expert nor do I pretend to be one based on that definition ( ) that is a flaw I see

Hmm... good point. As well, I'll probably be pulling a Splinter Cell Conviction and fusing the night-vision and thermal vision modes into a combined sonar vision mode.

Make the shotty 12-gauge and make it bolt or pump action. From what I understand an 8-gauge shotgun would be pretty bulky and heavy, and a 12-gauge is much lighter but less powerful. For an attachment I would prefer it to be lighter, even if it makes it less powerful. Also, if it was 8-gauge and semi-automatic it would shoot faster than the regular pump action shotguns in Halo, and be just as powerful. As I said before, a weapon used as an attachment can't be better than a full weapon of the same type.

Oh yeah, forgot that.
Okay, revised edition:
Scope has EMF and sonar vision (maybe with a little bit of VISR thrown in too)
12 gauge underbarrel shotgun is pump-action (looking more like a Masterkey crossed with the Shotgun)
Iron Sights for emergencies, Compact Battle Rifle usage

Make it 12-gauge too. I just can't see an 8-gauge shotgun attachment being very usable, and 12-gauge shotguns are still very effective, it seems to be what is most commonly used today.

Sorry about that one, forgot to add the "12 gauge" before the "underbarrel shotgun".
The BR55A2 kicks in next time my guy gets to rest.
