(OoC: Read the 2012: The End Is Just The Beginning post in OoU OoC board before entering in this.)
December 1st, 2012
John and Russell were relaxing on the couch. John and Russell were the odd couple in the proverbial sense: Russell was a SPARTAN-II of the UNSC, whereas John was a Space Marine of the Imperium of Man, serving in the Ultramarines. They were watching the news. A press announcement came from the President of the US. John thought about changing the channel, but Russ read John's thoughts and said, "He's a black President. Of the US. It's bound to be important if we're here in the frosty north of Canada and are getting this."
The magic talking box said, "The world as we know it, will soon come to an end on December 21st of 2012." John spat out his Coca-Cola, and Russell spat out his french fries. The Space Marine turned and said, with a shakiness in his voice not seen since the Tyranids, "Did he just say what I thought he said?"
Russell nodded solemnly. He pulled out the intercom and announced, "If you haven't heard the world will end on December 21st, 2012. Do not panic. If we have any construction men, get them to work on an Ark that will take us to the seas. Alert Level Theta, I repeat, Alert Level Theta!" He looked at John with a look that said, "Get your armor and weapons, we're in for a hell of a ride." John responded by running towards the armory. Russell soon followed. They hoped they could finish before it was too late. They were right in a sense, but it would be at the last moment. For now, it was panic time as the base went into an alert seen only since the Cuban incident in the Cold War.

Otto sat on his couch watching Family Guy. He was interupted by his phone ringing and picked it up. "Oh hey Jenny...what's wrong" said Otto as he heard the alarm in her voice. (ooc I an using her instead of Katar as elites would be too weird in modern times). "I will be on the first flight over" said Otto as he hung the phone up before finding out the whole story. He quickly got into his Lamborghini and drove to Munich National Airport. Once there he arrived he bought a ticket for a Private Jet flight to Philidelphia...using his companys card of course (Ooc works for a rich mercenary company)

"Ms. Smith? Mr. Swan will see you now," the receptionist said. Charlie nervously tossed aside the magazine she was reading while waiting patiently and stood. "Follow me please," the receptionist said, turning and walking down the hall. "How long ago did you book the appointment?" "Three years," Charlie replied. The receptionist looked over her shoulder. "Mr. Swan is a very busy man, I'll remind him to apologise for making you wait such a long time," "No need," Charlie said. The two soon arrived at a pair of large double doors with two men standing beside each one. The receptionist gave them the nod and the doors opened. It was just like she remembered, nothing had changed at all. The receptionist walked inside and Charlie hesitantly followed. Red carpet led to a large desk, an elderly man sat behind it typing away at the computer. The receptionist gestured for Charlie to take a seat and then stood in front of the computer. "Mr. Swan, your 4:45PM is here." "Right, what was his name again?" Mr. Swan, Charlies father, asked. "Her name, sir, is Abagael Smith, she's had this appointment for three years," the receptionist replied, Charlie quietly chuckling at the origins of her cover name. "My, my, three years?" Mr. Swan asked. "Well, I wont make her wait a second longer, thank you Miss, that will be all," The receptionist nodded, smiled at Charlie and left the room. The two were silent until the doors shut. "So Miss Smith, are you a reporter?" Mr. Swan asked, gazing at the screen. Charlie didn't reply. "Miss Smith?" he asked, angling away from the computer screen. He was still as blind as a bat, the computer keys were lined with braille, just about everything was. Charlie nervously took in a breath. "My dear, are you alright?" Mr. Swan asked again. Charlie twitched at being called 'my dear' something he had called her when she was younger. "Look, I am incredibly busy, if you aren't going to speak then I am going to have to ask you to lea-" "No," Charlie hasty interrupted. Mr. Swan flinched and his expression changed. "...You-" Suddenly, an alarm under the desk began to ring. Charlie knew every alarm under his desk, she helped her father learn which one meant what. But this alarm, this alarm was new. Mr. Swan straightened his posture and looked around the room, although he couldn't see anything. "Interesting," he muttered. The doors suddenly burst open and armed men rushed in. At first, Charlie feared her cover was blown. She recognised these soldiers, they used to terrify her as a child. They still did. "Mr. Swan!" one called. "What's going on?" he asked, standing from his chair. "Sir, we need to evac you from the building," the soldier replied. "What on Earth for?" Mr. Swan asked, frustrated. "We'll explain shortly," he said, taking Mr. Swans arm and leading him from the desk and escorting him out of the room. The other soldiers followed. Charlie was shocked and somewhat sad. But she didn't shed a tear, he hated that bastard. She stood from her chair and stormed out of the room.
***
"Well?" Anau asked, leaning against a vehicle. Charlie walked down the steps of the building and shook her head. "That is unfortunate, Human," Anau replied. "Whatever," Charlie replied to the aliens comment. Anau huffed and began walking with her when she reached to the street. "What happened?" he asked. Charlie gestured skywards, as a helicopter left the buildings roof. "Ah," Anau sighed, looking down from the sky. "No matter," It mattered to Charlie, though she didn't show it. He hated her father, but loved him at the same time.

Before he knew it, Russell was in the armory. When he got there, he saw John was in his armor, fueling the Chainsword and getting ammo for his Bolter.
Russell said nothing and detached a railgun, rocket launcher, and AK-74. He needed to make a message, and a wooden AR should make them shut up. He changed into his MJOLNIR, and rushed outside.
*One day has passed, December 2nd*
Russell was supervising the design of the Ark. The space design he frowned upon despite him having cruisers, and the air design would need too much fuel. The sea design would work well, and he high fived the designers.
*After the next few posts it'll be December 15th, 2012 to speed the RP up*

(December 1st)
Taro gasped. He looked around, strangely groggy. He had been sitting in a command chair by himself, attending to the constant flow of paperwork he recieved as the Supercommando Commander. But then.. he had arrived here? Where was here? The armored being shook his head, and sat up. He looked around him. He was in... a field? On Earth? That's what it looked like. The alien looked at his belt reassuringly, and was glad to see his two energy swords on his belt, accompanied by a carbine and his plasma rifle in the snow nearby. Judging by the smell of the air and the thin layer of snow, the cyan-armored Sangheili assumed it must be sometime during Earth's winter cycle. On Sangheilos, it had been a beautiful summer night, but here, it was a winter day.
The Elite stood up, and put his carbine on his back and his plasma rifle on his leg. He would get to the bottom of this.
-----------
((OOC/ Since Otto's going to Philidelphia, I'll have Taro go, too. Besides, I've always wanted to RP an Elite in-the-airport scene. =P))
(December 2nd)
Taro 'Sekem, having discovered an Elite Zealot and a Grunt in the winter field, stood in the airport. The odd trio comprised of two hulking aliens in metal armor and a diminutive Grunt in green armor walked through the lines until they came to the metal detector.
One rather overweight guard gawked at the cyan-armored creature. Finally, he partially regained his composure. "Ah.. .Uh.. Please place any carry-on baggage on the belt, and remove any keys, belts, or change."
The Elite strode through the metal square. Inevitably, it beeped loudly, just like the baggage scanner. After all, his only carry-on was a plasma carbine, a plasma rifle, and two energy swords. The guard looked confused. "uh... Please remove any metal items on your body and walk through again, sir.. ma'am.. uh... What are you?"
"A 'yes, sir' would be appropriate here." the Elite growled. "Now do not bother me with oyur useless detectors, and let me pass." The guard coildn't do anything about it, so the Elite scooped up his weapons, snatched three tickets from the shocked receptionist, and strode to the waiting area. Two hours later, they were called foward for their flight with numerous other passengers.
He handed his ticket to the man in charge, as did Zaku. The little grunt hopped up to hand his ticket in, and they boarded their plane. However, their seats were spread out. Zaku was stuck next to a wheezy old man who snored too much. At the end of the flight, the old man was discovered locked in the bathroom with his sleeping mask stuffed in his mouth. Rakka babbled to a middle-aged woman for the entire flight, and Taro sat next to a businessman who was obviously uneasy while the Elite read a newspaper.
When the flight ended, all the passengers rushed off the plane, followed by the three aliens. "What now?" Zaku growled.
Taro replied, "I have no idea."

Russell immediately sent out a radio message on a frequency that his allies could pick up. "Please... if anyone can hear me, the world is going to end very very soon. We would like you to send us your co-ordinates and we'll have a blue painted Black Hawk pick you up. We're attempting to build an Ark at North Bay, Ontario. The IHC is doing this as well, and we are attempting to save who we can now, instead of waiting until afterwards. I repeat, go to North Bay, Ontario. Give us your co-ordinates and we'll send out our Blackhawks on standby." He then got in his Mustang and drove downtown. By now everyone was used to Halo being real, but the fanboys were still gawking. Warhammer fanboys were a bit displeased though. He was going to go to the supply depot to get it to send all deliveries to the base. He also hoped his friends would recieve the message and decide to upload the co-ordinates to the base. He provided a link in the message: how he didn't know, but he needed every edge he could get.

Otto departed from the air port and rented a car..it was newer than his Lambirghini back home but more beat up probally because of idiots who wanted a fast car. He placed his Rocket Launcher and Spartan Lazer in the side seat. He waved at the halo fans and sped off towards downtown...but as he drove off he noticed elites at the air port. (ooc yours Ares). He arrived at the address Jenny gave him 709 Liberty Street...why she chose to live near Independence Hall he never knew. He buzzed her room. "hey it's me" "come on in I don't know if you have heard the news or not. "news what news" pondered Otto he was too busy haveing fun...along with hideing stuff for use in the future. "no she couldn't be...could she" thought Otto as he ran up the stairs. He opened the door to her apartment. "please tell me your not pregnant" said Otto as soon as he entered the door. "what?!....no I'm not pregnant this is a bit bigger the f***ing worlds going to end soon" said Jenny. "oh thank god....to the pregnant part but WHAT?!" said Otto. "Look I don't know how but apparently it is" said Jenny. "well we might as well gave fun before the world ends" said Otto as he grabbed Jennys hand and ran out the door.
(ooc To be continued as I have to go....all you need to know is Katar is at the ruins if Area 51 and Jenny and Otto are driving to you)

Russell looked at the radar. Jenny and Ares were driving towards him. In the US, the world would end before they got there. He dispatched a Chinook to meet them and pick their car up to carry them to North Bay. The Ark was little more than a skeleton at this point, but a bit after the 21st it would be in working order. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An ominous whirring sound went over Jenny and Otto's car as a CH-47 Chinook helicopter used magnetic locks to attach itself to the Lamborghini. Airborne, the Nook headed for North Bay.

Mitch's M831 TT Warthog stuck out from the other vehicles as he sped through the crowded city of Detroit, Michigan. But his vehicle wasen't the only thing that stuck out, he did too. He was wearing his Mark V MJOLNIR armour. Plus, he was armed with an MA5C Assault Rifle, an M7S Sub Machine Gun, and two M6C/SOCOM sidearms. Surely he would have been pulled over and arrested, under normal circumstances. But these weren't normal, everyone in the city was running around in panick. Riots were everywhere, ever since the president declared that the world was gonna end in a few weeks, it's been chaos. He was on his way to North Bay. He didn't know why, but he just had the feeling that that was a good place to be. After swirving around the wreck of what used to be a Dodge Charger Police vehicle, he was on a bridge leading to Windsor, Ontario and enroute to North Bay. "Are there any Military or enforcement units in the area? Please respond! This is UNSC SPARTAN-IV Mitch one-zero-five! I am apart of another military force, please respond! I will send this message again at five minute intervals. Mitch-105, out."

Taro sent back a signal to the anonymous person who had sent it out, detailing his coordinates. The hulking Elite turned to his left, where he saw Zaku and Rakka. To his right, an old woman with a handbag stood. When she noticed him giving her a cursory glance, he received a smack upside the head via a weighted purse. The hulking alien stumbled back.
"Old crone," he growled, and summarily booted the Eastern European woman onto the ground. He stalked over to his two allies. "These humans are insane. That weak old bitty attacked me for no reason. I know who I'm not helping out." he growled, obviously angry, But then, he saw the helicopter coming. This was good.

Charlie kicked open the door to their apartment and stormed in. "They will make us pay for that," Anau grumbled, attempting to shut the door. "I don't care," Charlie replied, picking up her ODST armour and tossing it into her room. "You're not going to put that on, are you?" Anau asked. "It'll make me feel better," Charlie muttered, taking off her shirt and entering her room. "I wish you wouldn't do that," Anau sighed, stepping to the window of the apartment. "They wont bite," she chuckled behind the closed door. Anau huffed and began pacing around the room.
A few minutes later, Charlie exited her room in her ODST body suit, helmet-less. "Some yank left me a message, I told'em to meet us on the roof, get into your armour," "Very well," Anau replied, beginning to take off his civilian clothes. "One, the curtains are open, and two... just no," Charlie sighed, placing on her helmet and leaving the apartment. "Why don't I have the right to do the same as you?" Anau chuckled as she left. "Because no one wants to see a naked Elite!" she yelled from outside.

(ooc from where I left off..it's just easier this way)
The two entered the car. "now might not be the best time but...will you marry me" said Otto. "well since the world is ending yes" said Jenny. "ok to Canada" said Otto as he climbed into his car and sped off. "oh crap the cops" said Otto as he heard the sirens. He stamped his foot harder on the gas and saw back up arrive...he tossed a frag gernade at a road block ahead to clear a path. "use the rockets...I have plenty in the back seat" said Otto. They were stored in boxes and even a suitcase. "how did you get this much" asked Jenny as she fired a rocket behind her. "I was loading my ships armory..when I got here the truck of ammo came with me" said Otto. "lucky you" said Jenny as she reloaded. *** "hey a chopper..with magnets were saved" said Otto as he pointed up.
*** Katar woke up on the metal floor of his cage. " I am not some animal I am Counciler Katar Yamos of the Yamos clan of Sanghelios not vermin like you" yelled Katar. "shut up alien scum" said a guard as he stuck his shock pole into the cage bearly missing Katar. "I have had enough of these games and have been patient and trying to reason with your sorry kind" said Katar as he burst through the bar doors and drew his swords and slaughtered the guards. He then proceeded throughout the facility killing those who dared get in his way. "ah director nice to see you" said Katar before he killed him. "this should shut them up" said Katar as he read the map and found the nuclear arms bay. He placed a human charge on a missle for 15 mintues plenty of time to escape..once be set it from a caputured human vechile. He darted to the garage and took off in a Jeep. *** 15 mins later
Katar caught sight if the mushroom cloud behind him. "I am ready to be picked up...I am in the middle if the desert about 10 miles from "Area 51"

Russell was under a lot of pressure. The basic float system of the Ark had been finished, and progress was going well. The first thing he recieved was Mitch's message. He sent a message back. "Thank god Mitch, I'm here at SPARTANBase. Get onto the base. I'm telling the guards you're in Mark V and a Hog, they'll let you in. We have a lot to talk about, old friend."
He then recieved a message from Charlie. He didn't need to respond.
He then recieved a message from Katar. "I read you Katar buddy. We're sending in a Vertibird we managed to build from blueprints we have. I'm allowed into Area 51, so I'll be coming with the copter crew."
Meanwhile...
Two men pulled Otto and Jenny into the Chinook and dropped the Lamborghini. "Sorry, guys. 984's orders. We need to save weight, and we dropped the Lamborghini over a safe area. We'll be at SPARTANBase in 15 minutes, so don't get comfortable. Word is 984's heading over to Area 51 to pick up Katar."
Also meanwhile...
The Blackhawk arrived on the bridge. Two soldiers herded Charlie and Anau on-board, where they saw a soldier in full power armor, carrying an oversized machine pistol and what looked like an oversized chainsaw blade grafted onto a sword handle. The meta man turned and said, "Hey. I'm John. A Space Marine. We'll be at SPARTANBase shortly, since you're in DC."
A VB-01 Vertibird landed 15 miles from A51. Katar wasn't sure who was on there, until Russell stepped out. "Katar, my man! Great to see you escape Area 51. Sad you had to explode it though. Now get on, we're going quick." Onboard the Vertibird, Russell told Katar about everyone else. "As far as I can tell, John's confirmed that he has Charlie and Anau, and they're headed towards the base. Otto and Jenny are on-board a Chinook, and Mitch is headed towards the base too after I tipped him off with a radio message."

"Wake up!" Zarra sat up suddenly and bumped her head on the low ceiling of the car. "Why do the humans have to make their vehicles so tiny?" she grumbled rubbing the top of her head. It wasn't night, but the events of the past few days hadn't allowed her much time for sleep. A'lea shrugged, "Here, this should keep you awake." She handed Zarra a warm styrofoam cup that held a strong smelling liquid. Zarra read the side of the cup, "What is Starbucks?" "It's just coffee," said A'lea, finishing her cup. Zarra sniffed at the cup, then took a drink. "They haven't come yet," said A'lea, "Are you sure it was Central Park?" Zarra nodded. "I like this city," said A'lea, almost talking to herself, "I wish we were here under better circumstances." Zarra nodded again and looked out the window, watching for a helicopter.
