Russell couldn't help but cheer into his comlink as the Pelicans finished the Wraiths. He said, "Roger that." He promptly began heading towards Matt's Ghost, following it.

"Hey," Chandler said, placing his hand on Mitch's' shoulder. "Keep your head in the game." he said giving him a nudge and attaching the pistol to his leg. While sprinting over to Matt's Ghost, he picked up a Brute Shot and attached it to his back. He leaped aboard and again, tapped him on the back of the helmet. "Don't do that again."

Matt was relieved by the sound of Chandler's voice. "Do that again?" He laughed. "I didn't have much choice in the matter." His voice hardened, then, as he watched the dust clouds caused by the attack on the Wraiths ahead. He still didn't know the extent of the damage, but they'd find out soon enough. "Alright, gents." Matt shouted, spinning the Ghost around to face the multitude of Wraiths. "Let's roll." There was a jolt and a flash of blue light as Matt hit the accelerator on the Ghost, Matt whooping with the acceleration of it. The dust was moving, now, and a few Wraiths still remained. They were too close and moving too fast now, though, to be hit by any of the slow moving plasma projectiles of the Wraiths. That didn't mean the rifles on the Wraiths weren't a problem, though. The Ghost next to Matt was occupied by a single SPARTAN, and as the SPARTAN spun it around near a Wraith Matt winced as he saw the bullets tear through the armour and send the SPARTAN spinning from the Ghost.
Stone dead. SPARTANs weren't indestructible.
"We can't leave an enemy at our backs!" Matt cried to Chandler, over his shoulder. He gritted his teeth, spinning the Ghost around. They both couldn't get tied up; if the Ghost was to blow, they'd both be killed. "Steer the Ghost around." Matt said, not waiting for an answer. "Fire upon it from behind, where the armour is weak." As they passed the nearest Wraith, Matt hurled himself bodily from the Ghost, his foot punching into the crack between the armour of the Wraith with a crunching sound as he sank his fist into the armour. The machine gun was spinning round to attack him, and Matt swung his free arm in a circling motion straight into the machine gun's blaster. It was tough, and didn't yet crack. Once, twice Matt struck it, the gun snapping off as Matt punched the main plate again, striking the engine and causing lights to flicker across the body of the Wraith.
All he hoped was that it didn't blow up with him on top.
The plate came loose with a crack, Matt wrenching it free. The head of the Brute in control popped up, a plasma pistol in it's hand, and Matt yelped with surprise, hurling the plate into the Brute's face more out of instinct than anything. The Brute roared as Matt drew the weapon closest, his pistol, and fired from point blank range. Blood spurted across the Wraith and the face of the Brute seemed to almost explode, the metal of it's armour flying apart, before the beast dropped back into the Wraith. Matt had no idea if it was still alive or not. The engine of the Wraith, now, was exposed to the air, the workings of the Wraith bared to Matt. "Open sesame." He muttered, dropping a plasma grenade into it, the blue light shining in the darkness beneath as Matt hurled himself from the Wraith, rolling as he landed. The Wraith exploded with a colossal noise, the flash of plasma and the feeling of heat satisfying to Matt, as metal and other such materials went flying in all directions.
He only hoped Chandler and the others had done their job, or any remaining Wraiths would soon finish him off.

(OoC: By "bullets" you meant "plasma" right Coco?)
Russell kept moving, and saw Matt explode the Wraith. Taking on Matt's example, he attacked another wraith, breaking both plasma cannons after his shields went down. He then ripped the plate off the engine and tossed a sticky grenade in before running away. The Wraith turned. The Brute pressed the button. Death Star style, the Warith blew to bits. The Brute survived, but not for long: Russell walked up and dispatched the Brute with an SMG burst before moving off.

Once Matt had bailed from the Ghost, Chandler scrambled for it's controls. He leaned over the back of the Ghost and attempted to turn it around. He only slightly altered it's direction and sent it on a collision course with a Wraith. "Crikey!" The Ghost struck the front of the Wraith and catapulted him over the top of it. Chandler landed on his feet, took a bow and leaped onto the back of the tank. "Major design flaw," he chuckled, reaching for a grenade. He placed his hand on his waist where a grenade should have been attached. "Damn it," he cursed. He thought about using the Brute Shot, but the damage done to him would be too great, he also thought about tearing apart the glowing turbine looking device, but he didn't want to lose his hand. He shrugged and detached the pistol so generously given to him by Mitch. "Sorry mate," he laughed, tossing the pistol into it's back. The turbine jammed and began glowing and smoking. The plasma inside soon ignited the pistols ammunition and Chandlers job was done. The tanks gravity support failed and crashed to the ground, the engine let out one last pained groan and exploded, giving Chandler a face full of smoke. He leaped off it's back and returned to Matt.

Mitch scrambled to his feet after dodging fire from a Wraiths plasma turret and leaped onto the Wraith. The Brute in the turret roared at him as Mitch punched it in the face and shot it in the face with a Plasma Pistol. "Good to see you too." The Brute groaned one last time and died. Mitch pulled the Brute out of the turret and barraged the cockpity of the Wraith. When the hatch was open, he repeatedly punched the driver in the face and puled him out and climbed in. "Cassy! Turret!" Mitch barked over the com. "On it." she replied while jumping in. Alicia opened a com channel to Matt."SPARTAN-081, I suggest we activate the dead SPARTAN-II's failsafe. Strategicely."

"That's Master Chief to you, Alicia." Matt said, as he slid into a crouch, firing at the same second at a Brute crawling from the wreckage of a Wraith. The Brute howled, and Matt fired again to make sure he was dead. "And no; we'll do this the way that means less risk for our people first, unless we have no choice. I refuse to put unnecessary risk to our own men. We will, however, be storming the tower now. Be ready. We're going in." Matt rolled to the side before sprinting up the front of a crumpled Wraith, the steaming insides of what was once a great mechanical behemoth heating up his boots as he leapt from the top to land upon a Brute, the element of surprise allowing him to grab it around the neck and slam it into the side of a Wraith, drawing his pistol, pressing it to the side of the head and firing twice. The Brute's carcass crumpled, and Matt attempted to lift it, unsuccessfully, to fire at another that was already taking aim at him, but to no avail.
Yet that didn't mean the Brute wouldn't come in handy...
Matt swung the corpse around with a grunt, the shells from the Brute shot his adversary was wielding striking the corpse and causing it to kick out spasmodically. This allowed Matt all the time he needed to leap at the Brute, kick the weapon out of the Brute's hand and punch him in the stomach. Yet the Brute was better than this, and Matt assumed it must be the leader of those they'd encountered outside this tower. The Brutes massive fist struck Matt in his stomach, driving the wind out of him and sending him reeling backwards. The Brute stepped up and sent a flying kick at Matt who narrowly dodged, his armour absorbing the minimal impact he suffered, as he scrabbled on the ground for his pistol, firing at the Brute's stomach. Yet his armour deflected the bullets, and the Brute punched the pistol from Matt's hand. Matt swore, sending a kick at the Brute's legs and causing him to roar.
This Brute definitely wasn't happy.
Matt kicked the sand, then, sending dust and grit into the eyes of the Brute, who roared again and scrabbled at his eyes. This was the opening Matt needed. Wrenching his Spiker free from where it was on his belt, he fired, sending burning hot needles into the flesh of the Brute, who staggered under the downpour before falling, with a crash, blood pooling around him. Matt rolled to the side to grab his pistol as another Brute fired at him, grabbing his pistol and firing once, into it's face. There was an explosion as, somehow, one of the other SPARTANs blew the door to the tower off, allowing them access. Matt hurled a grenade inside, watching the flash of plasma as it detonated and the screams of Brutes and other Remnant creatures as they died. "Come on!" He roared, to those about. "Attack the tower!" Matt saw one SPARTAN leap in before instantly being thrown out, three Brute shot shells blossoming on his armour as he bucked in his death throes.
This was going to be fun.
A Brute stepped out of the doorway and roared, defiantly, at the oncoming forces, Matt firing with his Spiker again and rolling to the side as the Brute turned to face him. The Brute was now a nightmare image, it's facial features distorted by pain, agony and numerous white hot needles extending from it's face. Matt threw the Spiker, then, the blades at the bottom lodging into the Brute and causing it to fall backwards, dead, as Matt leapt and tore the Spiker off, swinging it round again and cleaving twin lines across another Brute as he did so. Drawing his second Spiker, Matt unleashed a barrage of fire into the doorway, leaping into the antechamber beyond and swinging his twin Spikers about to cleave anything that got in his way. Metal met bone and flesh as he did so, one Brute being sent flying by Matt's cleaving blades. Now, he needed to wait for the other SPARTANs to be able to proceed.
One could only go so far alone.

Mitch hopped out of the Wraith, and was quickly followed by Cassy, picking up stray Spike Rifles and extra ammo along the way. Cassy attached two Spikers to her thigh plates and held up her Battle Rifle. Mitch, however, grabbed two Spekiers and fixed them on his thigh plate and picked up the two remaining Spike rifles. Alicia rolled her "eyes" and sighed. "Oh, I'm so sorry, Chief, where are my manners?" she replied to Matt mockingly. "Born with nothing, die with everything! Let's do this!" Mitch roared running up the ramp.
Jeff paced back and forth on the bridge. "Admiral, when am I going down there?" he asked. The Admiral watched the battle go forth on the bridges conference table (OoC: is that what its called?). So far he saw one or two of his SPARTANs KIA. No, MIA. Cross watched the others run toward the structure. "Soon."

"Right then," Chandler muttered, taking the Brute Shot from his back. Matt's entrance was rather spectacular, he couldn't figure out how he could do better than that. He decided that his Ghost stunt, that no one seemed to notice, was enough for one day. He walked around the Wraith Matt leaped from, stepped over the Brutes Matt had obliterated and walked through the door another Spartan had blown open. "We'll regroup later, mate," he said, passing the corpse of the Spartan. He fired three shots and moved into cover.

His Spiker spent, Matt hurled it at the head of a Brute, smashing through his helmet and killing him instantly before dropping to the body of a dead SPARTAN, snatching his twin SMG's and strafing the rest of the Brute filled room with fire. "SPARTANs on me!" He roared, as he swung a leg around to kick a Brute in the face, bringing his arms around to fire as he stumbled backwards and so kill him. Two SPARTANs had accompanied him as he pushed upwards along the room, but both were now dead; he needed to do something, and fast. Matt raised his SMG's to the ceiling, firing at the gas pipe that made it's way along, firing and making it drop with a bang. It fell, crushing one Brute, as the explosion of a grenade lit the gas exiting the other end with a bang, making what was effectively a flamethrower. A Brute, caught at the other end, was incinerated instantly, as half the room on the other side was turned into an inferno.
But there were still quite a few Brutes left.
There was a lift halfway up the room, covered by the Brutes, a lift they needed to board to be able to get anywhere. Matt hoped they wouldn't destroy it, and so make them find another way out. That, however, was a likely possibility if Matt didn't do something. The gas pipe had gone out, now, a black streak cleaving the room in two from about midway, the charred corpses of Brutes lying amongst it. Matt swore as a Brute lunged at him, having gone berserk at the loss of what must have been one of it's colleagues. With a feral roar it jumped at him, Matt leaping to the side and firing into it's back. It fell, onto it's front, and didn't get up again. Scratch one Brute. There was a bang of a grenade and the sound of screeching, and Matt turned his head to see a number of Brutes stacking what looked to be a number of tiny boxes formed into one box next to the lift. He swore, loudly.
They were trying to blow up the lift.
Matt swore. There was enough detonators there to perhaps blow the lift, so he needed to clear some of them. Jumping, he leapt up at the face of one Brute to kick it into it's colleague, gunning down the two of them as he leapt at the explosive, a Brute lunging for him as he booted a set of them out of the way. Ow; he hadn't expected them to be that heavy. He wheeled away as Brutes lunged at him, picking up the errant explosives and hurling them down the other end of the room. Now there were about half the explosives left; not enough to do any real damage to the lift. Matt fired at the gathered explosives, a loud bang echoing through the room as the fireball engulfed several Brutes and then was gone, leaving the lift open. Good. Matt sprinted over, jumping into the lift and pressing himself into the corner, covering the room with cover fire to allow his colleagues time to jump in. There weren't as many SPARTANs as before, but there'd still be enough if they all jumped in.
"SPARTANs, get in! Last one out hit go!"

An aftershock from the exploding gas pipes hit Mitch hard, and one of the pipes landed on him hard. "MITCH!" Cassy yelled, running toward him. "Cassy! Go! Matt's gonna need you! I'll be fine-," another explosion occured and debris from the ceiling landed centimetres before her and she fell backwards. "I'll be fine Cassy! Go! Please!" The floor beneath Mitch collasped. Cassy struggled back up and ran for the elevator, crying behind her helmet. "If you'd like, I could keep track of his vitals." Alicia said, assuming it would comfort her. Cassy shook her head, "no," and checked her Battle Rifle. Full ammo. Keeping track of Mitch's vitals would only keep her worrying and would distract her from the fight.
"Sir! I'm tracking multpiple groups of Remnant ships! In 5 minutes, they'll be all over us!" Admiral Cross spit out his cigar and hurried toward Lieutenant Arkham's post. "Are you sure?" Cross asked. "When have I not been sure?" Joseph looked at Jeff. "you're getting off Hell on Earth." "Sir, where am I gonna go? "You're goin' groundside." "Aye." Jeff left the bridge for his equipment. The Admiral paced around the bridge, inspecting consoles. "Any word from the Durandal?" he asked. "No sir, they've been busy assisting the Colony Ship, Harvest Rejoice with alpha base setup." The communications Officer replied. The Halcyon-Class cruiser was busy helping the Colony Ship. Perfect. They'd be sitting ducks. "And the Seperatists?" "Busy with the Elite's, sir." "Admiral! SPARTAN-105 is gone! We can't get through to him." Admiral Cross hurried to the conference table and observed the battlefield. he noticed he now had three "MIA". Terrific.
Mitch looked around. It was dark. He tried to turn on his flash light, but it was broken in the fall. "What the hell...?" He got back up and looked around. All he saw was a control panel like the ones he'd seen on a Covenant ship. When he walked toward it, he noticed it wasen't like the Covenant's. It was Forerunner. Mitch set his hand on it and a light bridge activated before him. "This is...different."
