Zarra examined her new wounds as she waited for her shields to return. Her armor had taken most of the damage where her leg had been hit, and the other didn't look bad either. They were still painful, and she decided to stay back and shoot for now. The humans were stronger than she had expected.

David didn't know what to do. He'd just killed four Brutes when he saw Lachlan. "Hey! You disgracful son of a bitch! Come get me!" He ran toward the Elite towering over Lachlan, firing his plasma pistol rapidly.

Klaus cursed why did he always get paired with the tough ones. He ducked behind a crate as needlers that the Councilor fired at him and he also fired his other at a brute. He popped his head up and shot the eite with a few carbine rounds expecting the sheilds to go down but he just saw them all be absorbed by the sheilds of this elite with the strange helmet. "what the hell is that thing" yelled Klaus as he decided to focus on a brute. (Ooc Councilors have probally not been seen in battle so I doubt they would know about them)

(OoC: Mitch and I came to an agreement)
Anau turned and put three Plasma bolts into the chest of the approaching Human. He growled and turned back to the Pilot, who was now standing.
"Die!" Lachlan screamed, squeezing the trigger and unleashing hell from his rifle. The Plasma forced the Elite backwards before finally his shields were gone and it had no choice but to retreat, again. "Washington!" Lachlan yelled, running over to his body. "Talk to me, mate,"
"Hey, Mira, right?" Charlie asked, arriving at her cover. "You gave that Elite quite a beating, how's your hand?" she asked, then noticing the Elite holding the sword to Mitch's neck. She scoped her Carbine and aimed at it's head, then tapping the trigger repeatedly.
"Cruse you Human!" Anau growled as he ran to Zarra. He caught his breath as his shields recharged. "Your leg, are you alright?" he asked.

Katar swore as two elites had been beaten by the humans. He drew his sword and crashed through the boxes th human he was fighting and drew his sword. He growled and grabbed the human by the neck. "Watch as your friend dies" said Katar hoping to distract them from Zarra and Anau. (Ooc You have my permission to attack him and I have decide he is wearing a cape just thought I would share that wth you all)

Pyrus reacted to the projectiles and threw Mitch like a ragdoll across the ground, activated his camo, and hid.
Mitch staggered back up and retrieved his helmet. He coughed up blood on the visor and looked around and noticed one body. A Human body. It was David. "David! David respond! Please!" he yelled as he ran toward him. He noticed Lachlan at the corner of his eye. "Lachlan! Get your ass over here!" he skidded to a halt in front of David and kneeled over him and sat him up. What happened here, Lachlan?" he asked. "S-sir." "Don't talk, Wash." "sir, I think I got nicked." "You'll be fine, marine." mitch replied as he took off David's chest plate. "Dammit. It went right through." "Sir?" "Yes, Wash?" "I did good, right?" Davids eyes were filling with tears and he grasped Mitch's arm. Mitch nodded his head. "Ya, you did good."

"I'm okay," said Mira, "but, I think he broke my wrist. I guess I'll have to try and use my other hand for now." She took another plasma rifle from the crate with her left hand, and held it awkwardly. "I am fine," said Zarra, "My armor stopped it." She shifted her weight to the wounded leg, and winced, "Well, for the most part. It hurts but I can walk." She glanced out. Some of the humans looked distracted by one their own, who was lying motionless on the ground, but they hadn't let their guard down enough to be easily overcome. Not far away, the Brutes still fired indiscriminately. "We appear to be trapped," she sighed. (OoC: Thought of a little more to add. )

((OOC/ Sorry... School STILL isn't out for me. >.<))
Zaku looked arrogantly toward the humans, the one he had fought was unconscious in a pile of weapons crates, and the others seemed to be huddled over a body. They were brave, but emotional. The Zealot still didn't understand why the Prophets hadn't extended an invitation to join the Covenant to these aliens...
The gold-armored Elite then remembered that the humans were still enemies. He shouted to Katar, "Councilor! It is not safe for you to be he-" but he was cut off by a Brute Spiker's spike whizzing past his face. In anger, he picked up a nearby hologram projector, and flung it with all of his strength at the Brutes swarming out of the doorway. It hit one, and toppled several behind it like Dominos...
((OOC/ Zaku: What are these "dominos" you speak of? Me: Nothing.... -.-' Zaku: I was just asking.))

"go join your friends" said Katar as he chucked Klaus towards them like a rag doll. " I can fend for myself I was the Commander of Special Forces for a while Ship Master" said Katar as he put his sword back on his hip and drew his needlers and fired at the brutes..despite how tempting it was to attack the humans. "keep an eye on them but focus on the larger threat here the Brutes" said Katar as he tossed a gernade into the distence. He paused and considered a retreat. "no that would be the cowards way out" "If you would like to retreat do it now I wouldn't blame you we are outnumbered here"
(Ooc I think most of us still have school this my last last week though)

(OoC: Hope you don't mind, but I'm going to make the Brutes go away)
"It seems that way," Anau replied, watching as a pair of Brutes arrived to join the others. "We need to close that door, I think I know how." he said, activating his camouflage.
Lachlan stood over Mitch and David on the floor, speechless. That soldier will probably die because he tried to save him. "David, I-" An Elite, probably the one responsible for Davids death, suddenly grabbed Lachlan by the back of the neck and dragged him over to some cover. Immediately, Lachlan began firing his Plasma Rifle, but it was soon confiscated by the Elite. "I apologise for the death of your Human friend but if we do not turn our attention on the Brute now, we will all surely be killed," the Elite said, speaking fast. "As long as that means you die too, I don't care," Lachlan snapped back. "Humans, you become so emotional after the loss of your own," the Elite sighed. "Listen to me, I will charge the Brutes, you stay close behind me, once my shields have been depleted, we will be close enough for you to destroy the door control panel, hopefully forever closing that door." "It'll be a cold day in hell before I take orders from the likes of you," Lachlan growled. Anau thought for a moment and then smiled behind his helmet. "So tough, yet you're only a pilot. Tell me human, did you become a pilot because you are a coward?" Anau asked. "Excuse me?" Lachlan responded. "Do you fear death? Did you think you would be safer in the sky, as far away from the battlefield as possible? Or is it because you're such a failure, you military put you in the sky?" Anau asked again, grinning behind his helmet. Lachlan didn't reply for some time. "Let's do this," Lachlan growled. "Excellent," Anau said, handing the Plasma rifle back.
Anau emerged from his cover. "Charge!" he roared, sprinting towards the Brutes, Lachlan close behind him. Halfway along the walkway, Lachlan stopped for a breath and Anau tossed to Plasma Grenades into the crowd of Brutes. "Quickly Human!" Anau yelled, charging what was left of the crowd. "Damn it," Lachlan panted, running after the Elite. Two Brutes suddenly emerged from the smoke, Anau fired on one and tackled the other to the ground. Lachlan arrived shortly after and put his rifle to the control panel. He fired until the the battery over heated and the door slammed shut.
Lachlan staggered backwards, out of breath. The room was quiet now. He then remembered there was still a pair of enemies in this room. Lachlan turned and aimed the Plasma Rifle at the Elite, who was already aiming at him. "What now?" Lachlan asked. "Bit of a stalemate, don't ya think?" "Katar, what do we do about the Humans?" Anau muttered into the radio.
At the the other end of the walkway, Charlie and another ODST ambushed Zarra at her cover and aimed their weapons, waiting for the order to fire. "Mitch, what now?" Charlie whispered over the intercom.

"nothing has changed they are still are enemey" said Katar. "I thank them for helping them closing the door but they still must be slain...if you wish you may go easy on the pilot but anything else would be considered heresey" He paused and thought for a moment. "but perhaps we can strike a temporary deal with them they help us fight any brutes that get in here by blowing the door open and we don't kill there mongrel hides and we may also perhaps esort them to a hanger they can stop infecting our holy city..along with our selves as it is no longer safer here" said Katar. (Ooc You guys choices you can fight each other some more or we can skip that and just fight our way to the hanger..I am for choice number 1)

Zarra whirled to face the humans with a snarl, but was hesitant to raise her weapon. The humans had the advantage. She took a few steps back, trying not to limp noticeably, and glanced around for a way to retreat. (OoC: You all are allowed to shoot at her, just let her get away before her shields go down. I don't want her to get hurt again for a little while. )

"Waiting for the order, Human?" Anau asked. "Yeah, you?" Lachlan replied. "I've been given the order," Anau replied with a growl. "Then what are you waiting for?" Lachlan asked, shifting nervously. Anau didn't reply, he glanced at Zarra over his shoulder, if he killed this Human, the two who have apprehended her would certainly kill her. "Well look!" Lachlan said allowed. "Seeing as though both our kinds are in a spot of bother, we just escaped the joint and you guys with your civil war and all, how about we just go our separate ways?" he suggested. Anau looked at Katar and back to the human. "Creatures of the Covenant! The path is broad, and we shall walk it side by side." Truth was still broadcasting his lies over the speaker. "What do you say?" Lachlan asked Anau, lowering his weapon. Anau stared at him, this could be a Human trick. Truths lies were then replaced by the sound of an echoing roar. "What is that?" Anau asked. "I know those engines," Lachlan replied in shock. The sound of 1,000,000 pounds of thrust roared through High Charity, before it abruptly stopped, followed by it's echoed crash into one of High Charity's distant towers. "...Well that can't be right," Lachlan said, confused. "Be glad! A reward for all your toil and all your sacrifices in the year at hand." "Oh shut up!" he yelled at the loud speaker.

Daniel stirred back to consciousness in the pile of weapons boxes. That Elite had one hell of a leg... He began to get up, but froze... That one wasn't dead, and he couldn't see him anywhere. This wasn't good.
Zaku placed one of plasma rifles on his waist as he crept behind the large purple crates. The apes were threatening the Elites... this was unacceptable. He took off his energy sword, and leaped into the open area. The Zealot ignited it, and held the plasma rifle up.
He stopped, both weapons held high. His plasma rifle looked menacingly at Charlie, and his energy sword pointed at Mitch, albeit that both weapons sat over a foot away from both humans.
"The prophets are acting strangely... I believe we should follow the human's advice, and diverge. It would be the most wise thing, under these circumstances..."

Mitch ignored the sword hovering beside his head and took Davids tags. "Charlie, I want you to put David somewhere out of the way. Then report to me. Everyone else, reqroup to me. Anyone hurt?" he stood up and looked Katar square into the eye. "Sod off."
